I applied just a few minutes back, approved. But even after 15 mins, no email confirmation whatsoever. How long did it take for you to get the confirmation email?
Is citicards. com /cards/credit/application... link where slickdeals redirects to even legit? If I go to citi. com and the same 80k deal there redirects to a different url for application that starts with online. citi. com /US/ag/cards/application. This is confusing! Though the citicards . com certificate shows Issued to Citigroup Inc [US], (see attachment1 ), the commonname is accountonline. com (attachment 2) where as for other citi.com application links, it is online. citibank. com. (attachment 3)
Is accountonline. com legit as well? Can't understand why they can't just keep these consistent!
Now I understand why Citi had often been referred as 'slums of investment banking' back in the days. Not only does it suck in investments, apparently it had become a complete garbage on the retail side as well....
... so after being denied (score 800+)... I tried to keep speak with Credit Applications team. Since everything is outsourced to SouthEast Asia, I ended up speaking with an offshore team.
These guys have ZERO clue on what is going on. However, they gave me these numbers to call:
800-842-2348 and 888-201-4523. The irony is there is no human present to discuss anything and there is no option to do choose a human person.
Today I called them again...someone in China picked up the phone... After about 30 minutes of explaining and asking to speak with someone in the US to discuss US-bound issue, I was given this number 800-637-3116. When I dialed, it said "Congratulations, you won $100 gift card from Walmart.' Please wait while we connect you to a live rep....
I will never ever do business with Citi.
I will never use them for banking.
I do have credit cards with them.
I once was on a call with one of their people in India. There was continuous crowing of a rooster in the background. It was hilarious.
Just wondering between this and the United explorer card with 70,000 miles, which one would you choose? Not a heavy traveler but it's always nice to have the benefits that the United card provides, although it sounds this one gives some good traveling options too
I just applied and got automatically approved for $4,600. I have 5 CCs (2 opened in the last few months). I keep my cards paid off by the end of each month. Basically using the cards for the rewards. The only debt I have is my student loans.
One weird thing is at the end of the setup, it says my Equifax score is 783 but on Credit Karma it says my Equifax score is 735. Not sure why but maybe my credit is better than I thought? lol
Planning to build a new PC soon so this extra savings will be nice.

What is a "SUB"? Please dummy down your last sentence.
Thanking you in advance.
you can redeem at www.thankyou.com[thankyou.com]. there's an option for cash and direct deposit that can give you full 100 cents per point. you can find this link from the reward details on the citi card website. "See all the ways to redeem your points at ThankYou.com More ways to redeem '" shows up on bottom under shop at amazon, gift cards, travel rewards and pay with points.

I don't see the cash back option.
