I tried using my points as a statement credit and the value I saw was $0.008 per point, not $0.010. So only 80% of the full credit. Was this a recent change?
I didn't do the transaction, is there still some way other than buying a GC to get the full 1-cent per point value? Thanks.
You got I cash rewards then statement credit which gives you $100 for 10K points. I would choose Direct Deposit to my checking account.
Thankyou point has always been less than 1c for me. I've had citi thankyou card forever, only redeeming gift cards on sale. Not sure how others are getting 1c per point, maybe premier has better option for redemption.

Can you share the steps to redeem this? If I sign up for this card, will I be able to redeem my previously earned ty points also since they will be in the same account or merged? That'll be awesome. Thanks

I have the card and got the $800 bonus in cash. Do your research before you make comments like this..

I have Citi Premier and Double Cash. I logged into thankyou.com, and I can redeem 90,000 points into $900 via statement credit, direct deposit, or check by mail.
I've had the Premier for a little over a year, and I product changed a Citi Dividend card into Double Cash earlier this year. My dividend cash back automatically converted into thank you points, and the points from both cars have been pooling together ever since.
I am going to be making a big home renovation purchase soon and I can use a credit card. I'm wondering if this would be the best card for getting a bonus. I've been looking and nothing else I see comes close to $800 (assuming cash back or statement credit is accurate).

Any other card suggestions?
If you're okay with applying for business credit cards, the Chase Ink Cash and Unlimited cards both have a $900 sign up bonus right now (after spending $6,000 within 3 months of opening). And there's no annual fee on either card.
I just checked my thankyou account. Cash redemption is only 0.005 per point. Too bad for preferred I guess. Maybe this premier card is worthwhile
