This fan is a water cooling radiator fan with a different kind of screws that are normal "case" screws. I plan to play around with them by putting one over my memory and one over the vrm for temperatures. Maybe use one for blowing air into the video cards' fan or intake. Just cheap as chips for a seemingly good quality 140mm fan, only downside is the screws. https://www.amazon.com/NZXT-Stati...315&sr=1-8

Just want to mention that these fans will not work as case fans, the screws literally don't work with case, only on a Radiator, trust me you need to get the AER F fans for case fans.
Anyway the reason these are on sale is that NZXT made newer higher performing fans across their lineup.

I think I said the same thing, but thank you for adding another layer of flavor to the post.
While I'm willing to cheap out on some parts (case, fans, cables), I still want them to fit together tightly enough to not make noise or vibrate. You can get case fan screws that are extra long and add a washer, or you can get screws the same size/pitch as long as you want. Rubber/silicon mounts might also work, though I've never tried those.
Got mine yesterday. These have a rubber/silicone tube in the hole for damping. The bundled screws were handy for installation since these are slightly slimmer than the 140mm fans bundled with the Artic Cooler Liquid Freezer II 280mm.
Personally I experienced that these were quieter than the stock fans even at full speed.
I suspect these could be mounted by using case fan screws that are about 4-5mm in dia?
