yep officially got the email to the price increase just now. Yesterday they took the last $100 payment and now says $130 for July 23rd. guess I need to switch to the 5 for $125 this month and then next month might be dropping the 5th line and go to 4 for $100 depending on how much I make on the ad it up app.
also since this is prepaid , its probably best to wait and change near the end of the billing cycle to avoid pro-rated charges for a full month I would think.
When you make plan changes, I think you have the option of selecting the timing of the change - immediate or with the next cycle. At least they had that when I was changing plans on another account months ago.

Good to know! Website has been acting funny today and the app keeps saying they have a problem try again later.

I do have a new iPhone SE cricket gave 1 of my extra lines back in January on that 3g deal , so hopefully I can get it unlocked and then just drop it and go 4 for $100. So wait It out seems best for now anyways.

We are on Visible for 3 years now, no issues. Travel to the midwest, west and south with no problem. 4 lines for $100 monthly with free hot spot for every line. Before Visible, we were on Cricket. Love Cricket also but we switch to Visible because they had some really good deals at the time when we switch 3 years ago and haven't looked back. I think either one is fine but because Visible is great just like Cricket, we just haven't switch because Cricket don't have any promotion that would make me a MAJOR GO, not yet.

I have heard horror stories of Visible being super slow due to deprioritization

I left cricket when me and my sons phones would no longer work because 3g tower shut down. Went from $90 for 3 lines to $240 with AT&T. I miss cricket. I need AT&T/ cricket service. It's only one that gets reception while I'm at work in oil field.

Ummm you could also get a different phone vs paying 1800 bucks extra per year for a different service? Are you so wedded to your old phones?

mine showed $190 as well, but the per line added up to $125 and when I hit submit all was good.

The 190 is before the multi line discounts kick in

https://www.cricketwireless.com/s...ChangePlan

My text said starting August 2nd for me. So I can safely assume my July 1st bill will still be $100. And I think my August 1st bill will also be $100? So I just have to change to the $25 per line unlimited plan after I pay the August 1st bill? There's an option to change your plan starting at the next billing cycle, so I should wait till we're in July before scheduling my plan change?

I've had a second line on visible for over a year. Used to use it as a hotspot for household internet. Worked well for a long time. But then was able to get Verizon 5g home internet for $25 a month. I ended up putting the visible sim into another phone and I haven't had any issues. I've even streamed a webinar while traveling over 100 miles away from home, never cut out or dropped once. But I'm also in a location where there is strong Verizon signal so between my post paid Verizon account and prepaid visible, I don't necessarily see a difference in calls or texts just data speeds. Obviously visible is slower but I do get 40-60mbps with visible in the same locations I'm getting 80-100mbps with post paid Verizon.

now that I think about it I haven't ran a speed test on Visible since I got the Verizon 5g home internet.

on the home internet I get 300-320mbps down and 20up

on visible right now I just got 120down 14 up

just ran my post paid Verizon vs visible
post paid Verizon: ping 31ms 99 down 34 up
visible: ping 53ms 80 up 20 down

not bad but I have seen bigger gaps and longer ping times with visible especially when trying to run it as a hot spot. I've seen as high as 100ms ping as low as 30down and 5 up

hope this helps

also I got a notification from post paid Verizon that my bill will be going up $6 a month. so I might just end up cancelling it and just use the Visible prepaid line.

That was a very helpful post, one thing really piqued my interest though: how are you getting Verizon 5G home internet for $25 a month? That's a really low price..

I have a Verizon post paid which would allow me to get the home internet for $40 a month but I added the home internet on my families account because they were planning to upgrade a few months later to get new phones. Once they upgraded to the newer 5g cell service it dropped the price down of the home internet to only $25 a month.
I have an older set data amount on my post paid Verizon account as I don't use that much data every month. So upgrading to the newer 5g service would be a big jump in my bill every month for me and I don't think it's worth it.

I have had this plan for more years than I remember. I switched about 4 months ago to straight att because we needed 6 lines and I was tired of all the family complaints about bad data, missed texts and the like. There were some really weird issues i can only attribute to being on a budget plan. . I now pay double price but to not have my family "beach" about issues is worth the extra cost. And the new "free" phones were icing on the cake.

It looks like its the end of days for me and Cricket. The ATT service in areas around me are saturated, so I dont get any data in many areas around me.

I am thinking 4 lines unlimited at totalwireless for $95 (100GB shared for 4 lines)
and 1 line at total wireless for my fifth line for $20 (1GB)

How should I port my numbers? Port the fifth line first, then port the other 4 lines to the new family plan? Its been a while since I have switched carriers.
The $95 plan doesn't include tax and fees. If you just use the 4/100 from Cricket , the taxes and fees are included.

Got my text yesterday about 5 days before the end of my current cycle saying the change would happen at the cycle that starts in early August. Was a nice ride while it lasted...
