Great price but so not recommended because of the app that controls it. The latest update made this robot basically useless. Just read the reviews for the ihome clean app on whatever app store you use.

Unfortunately, I'm losing a lot of faith with iHome products. Just recently, iHome turned off the smart home functionality for all their smart plugs making them useless. It worked well for the past 4 years but now it's simply paper weights.

Huh, the latest update has been fantastic both ours. I will say that I did have to reset and re-add one of them to the app, but it picked up right where it left of with settings, map, and no-go zones.

Have this exact one cleaning as we speak. Highly recommend.

The app update has made it much better and more user friendly, though I did need to reset zones.

Only downside is no Alexa/Google integration to easily say "Alexa, clean the family room." That being said, I just setup different areas on schedules or use the iHome app.

Same price I picked up from Walmart in January. It comes with only one brush though.

I bought this one when it was $270. It lasted 3 months. The gears that hold the only brush got rounded so now the brush does not spin.. Useless for vacuum.. I still use it for mopping.
Do you use it mostly on carppet? Carpet would have more resistance and hence could heat up gear and wear it out fast, I can imagine.

Does this work well with pet hair?
I have 3 labs and I've been wanting to get one of these but the self emptying were always so high priced.

Didn't say why it's trash and didn't put any link that it's $100 on eBay. Seems legit

Oh... you have to buy replacement bags??!! Any hacks around that recurring cost?
Just shake out and empty the bags over a trash can. Or use a real vacuum with hose to suck out the dust out of the bags

Suction power not so good, leaves small particles on the floor. Too loud. I use this primarily for mopping which I think does a decent job. It doesn't go under any furniture, where the dog hair accumulates. I have a slim robo vaccum that goes under the furniture to pick them all.
Beware, the dust bin/water tank will eventually become useless because the water rusts the screws and other metal parts.

For the price, it's good. Will i buy again, NO even for this price. Don't want 2 things to do 1 job.

This or the wyze robot vacuum?
I have both vac. Been using iHome for 2 months and Wyze for 1 week.

With very limited experience with Wyze, here are my 2-cents:
Wyze seems to have better suction at least at the default level (I haven't used eco and max mode for either vacs), though it's also a notch louder.

One main difference is their path AI. Wyze goes in an overlapping lines in a single direction ("horizontal") while iHome has the option has the option of doing a single pass (not overlapping lines) or double pass (horizontal for an entire room and then a second time in vertical). Wyze's overlapping line path is far superior to iHome's single pass option. But I think the cris-cross double pass option is better but also slower (esp when factoring recharging time if your house requires recharging to complete a full auto program).

Wyze vac doesn't currently have spot cleaning in iOS, though I read that Android app has that feature, so I suspect it will come in due time?

In any case, for extra $25, the auto-emptying bin is totally worth it. The new app (iOS) has worked perfectly for me. The transition is fairly seamless. I appreciate having both areas and regions (though somewhat redundant) and ability to rotate map if needed. I bought the Wyze one because I want to hide it under a cabinet in a smaller "lower level" part of my house.

LIDAR mapping features for both vacs are game changers if you only have a dumb robovac that randomly bounces around. Both will be significant upgrades and have significantly increased robovac usage in my household. All else equal, I would recommend iHome over Wyze (even though I have many Wyze cams and appreciate having one less app to deal with).

Should I return the Wyze from recent FP deals for this? Is self-emptying worth it?
its totally worth it! huge difference that you only have to interact with the robot 1 time a month vs 10 times a month or more.

I have this vacuum and works really well. its been a year and no issues so far. if you have shag carpets don't buy this one but if you have simple flat carpet no issues. I have mostly tile floors so this is an excellent addition to my house. Lidar sensor and auto empty bin is a life saver. I used to have a Samsung vacuum and every day I had to find the vacuum as it was stuck somewhere but this one does the job without any issues. if you have shag carpet as I have it in my living room you can create to exclude the parameter in the map. I love how smart this vacuum is. you create a schedule and forget about cleaning your house. I will buy this one again in a heartbeat and you cannot beat this price.

These are great. The fact that you also get the auto-empty doc makes these a great deal.

I own 2, First floor works great on hardwood. Second floor I had to increase the suction level but great again. Wouldn't choose any other vac around $200

What have you been smoking??? The latest app update works great. Can setup virtual walls just about anywhere, spot clean, control the maintenance bin, suction and water level, along with direct control if you dont want to use the remote control that came with the unit.

Whatever you are referencing is not a iHome Nova product and others below look to agree with me.

iHome app is very bad? better get Wyze?
Robot is amazing, my only issue is occasionally it does not find its way back home, but I think I caused my own problem by putting a do not go zone so close to the base that it was interfering with the robot guidance.
