insanely low. stuff like this is why it's hard to justify any $ refurbishing my old pc as a second pc.

target had a Acer chromebook for 99 a few weeks ago that lon sideman noted had a 300 nits ips display which i doubt this does. but it's normal price was 199

Edit: actually still on sale https://www.target.com/p/acer-11-...lsrc=aw.ds

And Lons review noting the 300 nits IPS

this one however is 20 cheaper. the acer is a n4000 this is a n4020, but it seems the same chip just clocked 2.6 vs 2.8 so no real difference.

Edit 2: target one is 32gb storage vs 64 for this, might matter to some.

FYI: this should get updates until June 2027. Not bad for the price at all. I use my HP Chromebook for most things simply because I do web-based work.

Anyone who is interested in buying this CB should use it mainly for basic tasks like web browsing, word processing, youtube. I can't see any reason why these tasks cannot be handled capably by the same machine in at least 3-4 years time.

Reading quickly while at work. So the only differences between the target on you mention is target has a better screen and less hd space. Is that correct?

One needs to have reasonable expectations for 80$, but this would be fine for websurfing, google docs/office, streaming, and some linux stuff. Can you have 80 tabs open? No, but you can have like 10. Can you watch youtube while working on a google doc? Probably yes if you watch at 360p.
