Best entry to 3D printing printer. I've printed over 100 prints near flawlessly with no upgrades at all. Learn to print before adding in all the fancy bells and whistles.
Direct link to the printer product page so you can check stock level in your store.

Based on threads from past deals, some people have issues getting a coupon using a VoIP number and I believe with Mint wireless as well.

Also there usually is a $10 coupon inside the box for Inland filament. The Inland filament is around $20 so it's a pretty good deal. The box does come with a little bit of filament to print out a few samples but it's a good idea to pickup a roll to get started.

This is a very mod friendly printer with a large community. Some people will shit on the printer but if you're just starting out you can't beat a $100 printer that has very decent print quality. If you wanted, you can upgrade a lot of the components and make the print quality even better. This doesn't come with a silent board, just FYI.
I bought this earlier in the year for the same price. It's fun and cool to tinker, but something was always off/broken/needed upgrading/etc.

The plate was very hard to level completely. Mine had a high spot. Glass bed was only slightly better. The z axis sags. You can upgrade to dual z motor. The firmware doesn't support pausing (to change colors or add magnets), you can update it (which isn't hard but not simple).

I ended up buying a anycubic vyper which is very similar to this printer but with all of the upgrades on it already ($300). I'm going to just sell my ender and I'm guessing I can get my $100 back on FB.

It's not a bad printer, but it'll never really be plug and play. After every few prints, something will end up needing calibration and it's a lot of time trying to figure out what/why/how

Anyone recommending a glass bed rather than PEI just shot their credibility. Especially to someone new to 3D printing, glass sucks.

A quick search on Amazon [amazon.com] shows you can get a replacement pretty cheap. Why do you want a 3D printed one?

The factory design is flawed. It will break.

It looks like microcenter also has the v2 on sale for $199 - would you all recommend the pro for $99? or the v2 for $199?

Thanks!

My local microcenter has a bunch of ender 3 pro open box for ~$70. They are all listed as complete kits, anything i should be wary of for these open box items?

"Complete" doesn't mean complete. If you can, check the box for all parts prior to purchase. Someone returned it for a reason, try to find out why from the inspection and hopefully it's not too hard to fix. I had one with a broken Y axis limit switch, missing pully assembly, and missing filament holder arm.

If the box say Ender 3 Pro - B, you're most likely getting a Creality branded PSU rather than the MeanWell. The Creality PSU fan seems to run all the time, where as the MeanWell does not.

Don't buy 3 like I did. My advice would be to tinker with one, outgrow it and buy a different upgraded printer. This printer is fun but a lot of maintenance. I rotate maintenance all day to the point where it isn't enjoyable anymore. I heavily modified (cr-touch, dual Z axis, pei steel sheet, capricorn tube, all metal extruder) two of the three printers and kept one stock as a control. The stock one has the least amount of downtime and runs like a champ.

Hi all! Never had a 3d printer but always wanted one. I don't want to spend every waking hour tinkering though. I want to learn, but I want it to work without constant fuss. So, question is: This one (Ender 3 Pro) for $100 (Microcenter is a little over a half hour drive for me) or the Anycubic Mega X for $169 after coupon?

https://slickdeals.net/f/15810250-anycubic-mega-x-3d-printer-202-free-shipping?

Thanks for any guidance!

Ender 3 V2 is currently on sale for $199.99 https://www.microcenter.com/produ...21FFAC1607
Ender 3 S1 is also on sale for $339 https://www.microcenter.com/produ...toreid=131
If your budget allows, go with the S1 if not go with the V2. The V2 comes with the upgraded UI and quiet board v.2.2.7 compared to the Pro that comes with the older control board

This. I bought one of the Pro's and have spent about $200 modding it lol, would have been cheaper to just get something different.

The only required upgrade is bed springs and that cost $7.

Optional upgrades are bed sheet and Capricorn tube. Both doesn't cost much.

Ender 3 s1 and s1 pro are junk. Return two of them. One broke within 2 weeks of daily uses. The other broke on the second day upgrading the firmware. Their own firmware destroyed the printer with no way to restore it back to factory default. Absolutely junk.
