They're one of the few brands not owned and made by the Italian Sunglasses monopoly Luxotica. That said, Hugo Boss sunglasses are no longer owned and made by the German founding company. They were bought by the Italian company Sefilo, and are manufactured in a bunch of factories around the world, South Korea and China to name a few. The ones listed are more than likely made in different countries. Better quality sunglasses can be had for cheaper. I'd buy these before I bought anything by Luxotica, though. Contrary to popular belief, monopolies are legal in most of the world (the US being an exception). Luxotica owns 80% of all the sunglasses companies in the world, along with the majority of the sunglasses and optometrist retail chains (Sunglass Hut, LensCrafters, Pearle Vision), and the second largest eye insurance company (EyeMed). They're the reason the price of sunglasses have gone up over 1,000% in the last few decades (Ray Bans used to retail for $20 before Luxotica bought them out, for example), and the reason the quality of them has plummeted. Unfortunately, many of the other manufacturers have followed suit and raised prices to appear like a luxury product, as well. Tomahawk Shades, Enemy, Warby Parker, Hobie, Quay, and Sungod are a few brands that are higher quality sunglasses than these and Luxotica's current lineup, and are much cheaper. If you want "buy if for life" quality sunglasses, Maui Jim and Serengeti are MUCH better quality than Luxotica brands, but they've gotten as expensive as Luxotica. Maui Jim sunglasses can be bought from Costco for less than $100, and are some of the highest quality sunglasses you can buy.

Is it ever worth it if it isn't polarized?

Just an FYI, the metal frame ones suck! They get very hot in summer and will end up burning your skin. Eyedictive did not even respond to my return request. So there is that.

I call bull pukey!
I wrote your customer service twice and never received a response. I'm inclined to back up Aasocial146. Why feign saving face?

I have bought several pairs from them. Returned a few. Have to pay for returns but I have never been disappointed in the quality or any timelines.

Agree, bought Robert Graham sunglasses from this vendor last year, based on the SD reviews/feedback and they were absolute garbage. The frame was very thin and they looked/felt cheap. Returned them to a Miami PO box on my dime. If you pay using PayPal, you can claim return shipping but honestly these are not worth it.

BTW, this vendor keeps popping up every 2-3 weeks with the so called sale on some brand of sunglasses. I would take glowing reviews on these glasses with a pinch of salt. If you are just looking for cheap sunglasses, you are better off buying them at your local store. That at-least gives you the opportunity to try them out and return with min hassle.

I've found that the versions with adjustable nose pads seem to be more cheaply made than those without, (even Prada). Since i've stayed away from adjustables, i've been a little happier with purchases. That doesn't excuse Eyedictive from ignoring emails, then pretending they care by responding to someone on here and mute again once exposed.

Thought I'd chime in on Luxottica. I bought Oakleys from Oakley.com and surprised that they were owned by Luxottica too. Didn't know until I bought a pair weeks ago.

I've seen people do this with Ray Bens
And always wondered where they get it done. I've asked the usual shops and they all say "we can't do that since this is a sunglasses frame". Very curious if anyone knows.

Most optometrist offices can fit sunglasses with a prescription. That's probably where most people have it done.

Manufactured by Safilo Group, the only real competitor to Luxottica, who manufactures everything else (essentially).
In addition to Safilo, there is also Marchon, REM, and several others.

So the "HUGO BOSS MATTE BLACK SOFT SQUARE CLASSIC" originally had polarized in the title, as seen in the now sold out section of the OP. Eyedictive appears to have now updated the title with "polarized" removed. I got them in yesterday. They are not polarized... and that's why I bought them.

Quote from Deal Explorer :
Think they can add any more descriptive terms to the name of these sunglasses?
And the irony is that some of them aren't even true.
