the correct question is which standing desk is advisable. this is a large and heavy monitor, so any wobble will be amplified on a standing desk. If there is wobble when your desk is raised, expect even greater wobble with this monitor on that desk. the only standing desk I recommend for this monitor based on actual experience is the apex pro from deskhaus - they aren’t cheap, but neither is your set up, if you are considering one of these monitors.

i would not recommend to get this for console use. there are better more cost effective monitor options. otherwise the better somewhat more expensive option would be a 48 inch lg c1 in terms of overall picture quality. the 32:9 aspect ratio would be useless for xbox. though i do have a xbox one x hooked up and you can stretch the image if you for some reason want to do that. it does support 4k60 hdr non vrr through the hdmi 2.0 port. hdr is kind of lacking due to edge lit va panel with minimal local dimming capability but sdr is good. i would only advise for pc usage in its native resolution. that is where it shines. otherwise you do have the option to do pbp mode with two separate 16:9 sources in sdr at 60hz.

You are a life saver. Absolutely no brainer for a monitor this quality reduced from $1199 to $670
Awesome price. If anyone wants the G9 instead of the CRG9, it's $890, which is the cheapest it's been in a while. That one is 240Hz instead of 120, and 1000R curve instead of 1500R, meaning more of a curve
Comparison between CRG9 and G9 below. In case you are interested, I purchased a CRG9. My use case is 99% productivity, so it comes down to how aggressive of the curve that I prefer. Coming from a 3 x 27inch (2560x1440) setup, I think I will be fine with a CRG9 + a 27 inch (for sharing screen on zoom calls). I was also considering LG C2 42" OLED, I think I will stick with a traditional monitor for now for 1/2 the price of 42" OLED.

Where's the g9 for $890? I'd rather just get the g9
