I guess if you're adamant on playing DV directly from Blu-rays this makes sense. But it's cheaper to rip your blurays and play them from an nvidia shield using plex or kodi or another app. Nvidia shield + cheap bluray drive + 4TB hdd usb hdd might be cheaper than this.

The quality of a ripped 4k file vs an actual 4k disc is pretty drastic. Same with 4k streaming. This player is for watching 4k movies in the highest quality. Not sure why people who are not interested or simply misinformed on deals posted here feel the need to either bash deals or nag about the quality of the deal.
