Not quite as good as I had expected. Sony X90J and Hisense U8G (or H9G) all beat this by a decent margin..

I'd say it's a good, but not great, price. But I'm not very familiar with LG. I've seen the Hisense U8G selling for just a bit more than this, and it's a great TV according to many reviewers. If you're willing to take a bit of a chance on Secondipity, they've got the Sony X90J for $700. I bought the 50" version from them recently and it's excellent.

It's a refurbished, used tv for that price.

That is why I mentioned taking a chance on Secondipity. Some SDers have had great experiences with them, and others not. The Sony I got from them was in a used box, but apparently brand new. A warranty can be purchased, if desired. I got the 50" model for $400 and I could not be happier with it. Definitely worth taking the chance for me.

I keep buying 65" TVs and cancelling BC I'm trying to hold out for OLED with HDMI 2.1 for $1000 or less. Which model did you get, when was this? Was it 2.1? Link?

So this is QNED? any difference between that and OLED? because I heard OLEDs are supposed to be the best.

Depends what you're into, I guess. That local dimming is atrocious, so that's a deal breaker for me no matter what the price is.

You can buy this TV for about 50$ less on ebay, pretty decent TV for the price. https://www.ebay.com/itm/184853819919
