If you know someone that already has a ring protect plan, they can purchase this for you for an extra $33 off.

If they have their Amazon and Ring Protect account linked, Amazon will automatically provide the discount during checkout

Linking the accounts can be done using the Ring app under "Account Settings"

Please explain. I have the protect plan and would love to buy this for my mother.
I have the Ring Plus Protect and when I added this to my cart and went all the way to end of the checkout, I see that there is <$33> credit added. I don't need this but seems like it works. I'm waiting for some stick up cameras to go on sale.

14 piece @ Costco (diff config with indoor cam) was recently $250. Left that unopened, waiting till Prime Day. Bingo! Now just waiting on camera and doorbell sales. Still on the fence if worth returning since I might like the cam and definitely like Costco return policy.

I've been holding out for Prime Day. Think there will be a better deal then?
Based off previous years, they seem to place the Ring systems on sale before Prime Day and they remained at the same discounted price on Prime Day.

I need something like 20 entry sensors to cover all the windows in my house. If I buy two of these kits can I just combine all the pieces?

Yes, except for the base station. You can only have 1 base station per Ring Alarm. But you can combine all the other sensors from two kits.

Hoping for a Costco deal for the 10 piece kit. Nice to have 2 motion sensors, but that's a lot of door sensors. I don't have that many external doors. I guess you could use it for windows, but most forced entries will be directly through the glass.
If someone was going to break a window, I would imagine it would be to undo the lock so they could slide the window open. This would set the sensor off, correct?

Ring sells 6 sensors for 99 and Costco 4 for 66. That makes more sense than buying a 2nd kit for the window sensors

AWESOME deal, have been waiting since the last gen 2 sale of this exact kit for a yearish for a good deal on this exact set, was hoping for Prime day. After installing the kit, I found I wanted more keypads, door/window sensors, and motion detectors, and the prices when buying piece meal are WAY more expensive... for example the door sensors are $20 each via $40 per two pack. That makes the 8 of those in this kit $160 if bought separately. Keypads are $50 each, so $100 for two of those, and $30 per motion detector, so that's another $60, for a total of $320 for that stuff, and you get an extra main unit as a spare (not sure of unit cost, but let's go low and say $50) and another extender ($25).

NOTE: I also automatically got the $33 off too, so it was $167+tax. Repped OP, thanks!

Just so you guys know, new subscribers are charged $200/year or $20/month for professional monitoring. The $100/year ends in a few years for existing customers.

You are supposed to used it for windows. You can also use it for file cabinets, dressers etc. Most force entries are burglars kicking in the front or back doors. So makes sure to upgrade the strike plates. The prime time for burglars are when owners are not home between 10 am to 3 pm, especially the time between 12:30 pm to 2 pm.

I currently have SimpliSafe system. When the alarm goes off it doesn't even tell me which sensor it's coming from. Will this system tell me that information?
