Fyi, denture cleaner can be used for retainers, is cheaper, and essentially the same thing

Just adding efferdant denture cleaner goes on a much better sale than this fairly often. I think last time I got 90 tablets for a few bucks. I use it for my night guards and it's great.

This isn't a ship for that particular cleaner. However, denture cleaner can be much cheaper.

Guess I'll share my method. UV-C light for 30 minutes than ultrasonic cleaner for 3 minutes.
UV light kills off the bacteria loosening their grip than the ultrasonic really gets them off.

It been a few years so not sure if the ingredients changed, but denture cleaner will yellow retainers so do not use them for invisalign or other aligners.
Probably fine to use with night guards and retainers after completing the treatment.
I'm done with invisalign, and mainly use handwash and a soft toothbrush on my permanent retainers. But sometimes use retainer cleaner.
Just make sure to rinse it well or you will be eating traces of cleaner.

You shouldn't clean your retainer with a toothbrush - it can create tiny scratches that bacteria will live in.

I agree with the previous posters who recommend using denture cleaner - I just use generic denture cleaner tablets every day to clean my retainers.
Toothbrushes are fine, it's the toothpaste that's bad. It's abrasive and damages the surface. Brush them using the denture cleaner.

Never heard of this brand.

Anyone giving this TU know why this is any better than Efferdent or the generic brand? Walmart generic is 1/4 the cost of this price.

I used to use cleaner products like this for my nightguards. I figured out all you need is to rinse it with water and scrub it with an old toothbrush every morning after use. Never starts to smell.

I've been using Efferdent/Polident with Essex retainers for 11 years with no discoloration or issues at all. They even advertise on the box that they clean retainers. Don't be suckered into paying over 2x the price for 'retainer cleaners.'

I just brushed mine with a toothbrush and toothpaste when I was a kid. Soak in a glass of mouthwash every now and then if necessary.

Don't use toothpaste, the abrasive qualities of toothpaste may wear on the denture/ nightsgaurd/retainer

I've been using generic brand denture cleaners for my Invisalign but I began to get mouth hives at one point (luckily not visible, but I had irritation on my lips) and long story short learned the chemicals they use in certain cleaners are highly toxic and can cause allergic reactions for some people. I don't love the idea of soaking my mouth piece in something that is poisonous, because the material definitely absorbs, even after running under water.

If anyone knows of a "clean" alternative feel free to let me know. I was thinking of just soaking them in water with white vinegar.

Mint castile soap also works, and tastes better.

Where do I add the promo code? Maybe I'm just blind, but I do not see a way to on the order confirmation page.
