I have this. I don't know how exactly to describe this but it keeps reconnecting to my devices over and over and over again even when I haven't plugged something new in. This happened to my other monoprice charger as well.

Ok this is the real reason i love slickdeals, real people, real talking, not fake review accounts. you can ask people that have product what they think, and learn a lot. i wish slickdeals could do review pages of products too and have an entire catolog.... but then if it became big enough they would have fake ones too i guess

Mine does this as well, but I use those multi-tip charging cables (like these [amazon.com]) so I just assumed those were at fault. I'll usually just unplug a device and the others start behaving correctly. I use it for travel so I'm not picky but I could see that getting really annoying. Reviews mention this issue as well.

Oddly enough, this happens with an outlet I have that has built-in USB A and C ports. It's like they don't like coordinating with each other or something.

Also, anytime this charger comes up, I feel the need to mention that there are certain slide-on travel adapters (EU etc) you can find that will slide onto the AC prongs while they are folded.

I ordered one a month ago but it stopped working. I contacted Monoprice and they are shipping me a replacement. However it is a bit surprising to me that it failed so fast.

I got this a couple months ago and I only used it maybe once or twice, it gets extremely hot for me just by charging my macbook air and even just my iphone. It scares me honestly. I would not think of using this overnight. I personally use WALLY Wall Charger (65 watts) and it charges my macbook just fine with proper temperatures.

So i got this, but i'm failing to draw more than 55W with my laptop. Does it depend on how power hungry the laptop is? I thought it would be like a stable 65W for my laptop but I guess I'm wrong

This charger looks cheap quality from pictures provided, does anyone used this brand long term? Any quality issues?

Actually they have been there for a very long time... as far as I can remember.

Their products are solid, not had issues. Rest is subjective

I love mine, certainly happy with it

I got this for $6 off amazon and it was perfect size. StarTech.com 1.5ft (0.45m) Power... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D5TN...b_ap_share

If it were closer to $30 i'd probably get a 2nd one

Impressive how far the tech has advanced, is 100w pretty much max even considering the four ports or are there even beefier ones?

When i use a USB-A to USB-C adapter can I trick the charger to give me full charging power, for example Apple Watch 7 is getting fast charging via USB-A port + USB-C adapter?

I have a stack of these. One in pretty much every bag. No issues, very fast charging.

I have two of these, and haven't had any of the problems described. They get a little warm, but many chargers do I guess.

I used them in Australia last month (with a plug adapter) and they worked fine, didn't have any issues. Also don't have any issues with them falling out of the outlets (in some hotels outlets are so loose that anything will fall out of course).

I am interested to see what plug adapter can be used with these chargers with prongs folded (whoever made that comment?), not that it's a huge convenience, just curious.

I also didn't have any issues with devices re-negotiating power level (I guess what someone called "reconnecting"). I know what you are talking about because one of my Ravpower multi-port chargers does that. Neither one of my two chargers does that. I do use fairly high quality cables (I don't have separate "power only" cables, all of my cables are rated for 60w or 100w and are USB 3.2 so I never have to worry about which cable to use if I need one for data transfer, maybe that makes a difference)

Finally one cool thing - if I plug in my Galaxy S20 Ultra or S22 Ultra into those, I get "Super Fast Charging 2.0" (though it drops down to just Super Fact Charging" if all four ports are in use). Also used to power a laptop (HP Dragonfly g2) without any issues.

$36 is pricey for a monoprice charger even if it looks like a great deal its not.

I have been buying cables, monitors, headphones and all kinds of other crap from Monoprice for 20 years. I've recommended them to many people over the years and nobody has complained to me about them. They used to be the absolute best place to buy all of your cables and usually had the best prices. They have branched out into a lot of other products in the audio video space and most of them have been solid products because that growth has been gradual.

This thing started sparking on me. I unplugged it from my wall and it smells like burning.
