Actually that is fantastic for a non-inverter which makes me doubt the accuracy. If the THD was that low, I'd bet they'd advertise it.
In my opinion, you get an inverter generator ONLY for the quietness of it with the added benefit of low THD.
At larger load capacity, it is typically cheaper to get non inverter generator with advertised low THD below 5% if that matters to you.

It's definitely given too much emphasis. I have a Generac and they told me that they don't publish the THD when it's above 20% I think. I've had it run TVs, computers, routers, etc without ever having a hiccup.

BTW I've read that THD values are usually measured at 50% load so this is my assumption that the 5-7% range is measured at 50% on the Pulsar as well. Good thing to keep in mind if you're going to be pulling much higher loads that the THD values may become higher as well.
