I am just starting to build my Ego ecosystem. I already have the mower (LM2135SP) with a 7.5 Ah battery. I will also need a string trimmer, an edger, a hedge trimmer, and a pole saw to complete my collection.

Questions:

Is this a good deal?

Given a choice, which one of the three - this trimmer, a trimmer with carbon fiber split shat, or a multi-head system with a trimmer attachment - is the best.

Is 530 CFM blower good enough?

I just got the mower and went back for a trimmer, after research went with the 16" model with auto line feed and 4 amp battery for 299. No deal to be had there, but I don't regret getting the bigger trimmer and battery. Auto line feed was a life changer, run string through, hit the auto wind, then cut until you are out of string. Battery life has been good with 4 amp battery, 2.5 wouldn't cut it for me. I flip the trimmer upside down and rest it on my shoulder to edge. My only concern is how long the auto feed mechanism will hold up.

I have a 425 cfm gas blower that I use in the fall, 530 cfm should strip paint. I mostly use a 250 cfm battery blower for clipping clean up with no issues.

So this would be a good deal if you need a light duty old school bump trimmer, but it's 2022 and there's improvements out there that will give you hours of your life back and a lot less frustration in use.

I am looking for a leaf blower. I'm a relatively new homeowner so I'm not invested in any particular battery ecosystem except some Black & Decker tools. This brand is not one I've heard of before so I don't have any idea how good or bad it is compared to others like Milwaukee, Dewalt, Makita etc.

My question is, is it worth going for this, or start with another brand - and if so, which one is recommended for reliability and cost effectiveness? I doubt I'll ever have a large number of tools so I thought it might be good if the few I buy work well with each other...

Same thought here but from someone looking to replace an aged 5 year 40v ryobi set. So I'm following comments.

Consumer reports has this brand at the top, but it is clearly more expensive. I'm trying to decide based on this and reviews.

I honestly love the ego brand. I started with the blower and now have the 18" chainsaw, string trimmer, hedge trimmer, the attachment handle that came with the edger and stage 1 snow blower.

I even bought the ego lawn mower for my dad. Used on OfferUp and he prefers it over gas.

I usually buy them when there are some good deals.

I remember a kit similar to this one at Home Depot was $200. This was pre Covid times.

Gas powered backpack leaf blower and you won't have to get another blower again.

Bought this exact combo for $200 at Home Depot back three years ago. This is not a slick deal given the age of these models. If it came with a larger battery, maybe. I also like the ego brand, but they like to follow the printer model of sales. Sell you cheap tools all day and gouge you on the battery cost to run the tools. Their customer service is horrendous as well.

Some of the attachments also have coupons. But the price is not at the lowest point per camelcamelcamel.

Just bought a new home in December, and decided to try out the EGO mower. I was pretty blown away by the performance, and it came with two 5 ah batteries, so decided to try out the power head with trimmer and edger accessories. I've since gotten the cultivator and 650 cfm blower as well. All work extremely well, for long periods of time with no obvious loss of power. The only issue I've had at all has been weight… these bastards are heavy (especially the weight of the cultivator and the battery together). They are all very well built, and feel solid.
