For limited use and what I paid for yes. I dont have the plus and I think you can get an OEM keyboard cover for it, right? I mostly use the fire 10 to stream Prime, Paramount+, and YT premium and never hesitate. 1080p looks good on it and speakers are decent. It's mostly for kid and got the foam case on it.

I've had this since launch and, within its known limitations, it's a great little device even at the original price. At $150, it's a very solid travel device and I can use it for 90% of my work needs when traveling (mostly through Office 365).

The main limitation I have is it won't output 1080p60 via USBC-to-HDMI, so it's not really capable with an external display. The new version was recently released and I'm going to see how it handles external displays.

I bought one of these a year ago. Its okay, and $150 seems like a good price. As cool as the keyboard is, I wish I just bought a regular android tablet vs. this thing. It does everything okay, but nothing well. Biggest gripe is not every app in the google play store is available to download.
Had the same thoughts when buying a Chromebook for my kid. It's too much of a tablet to be effective. A stable fully rigid keyboard and a larger screen are needed for school use. Still, the screen on this thing is beautiful.

I got this machine when it first came out at full price with high expectations. i needed a machine to do on-the-fly remote tutoring with pen support. It seemed to tick all the boxes.

- super-portable
- pen support
- long term software and OS support
- native google apps support means it should be snappy when running those
- potential to run full-fat desktop class apps and google play apps

In terms of usage this is how it panned out:

Pros
- Nice screen thats crisp given the size
- Loud speakers
- servicable camera for zoom calls
- Probably the lightest 2-in-1 (but it doesnt really feel that way)

The cons are myriad:
- Very cramped keyboard...do not underestimate this one; you should try this out before shelling out the $$.
- quite thick, despite its small footprint.
- With just one port, youll need to live in dongle-land just to use a charger and a monitor out, or a mouse.
- The machine isnt that slow when strictly with android or chromebook apps, but the moment you put linux on it, the machine can barely move. I mean that literally; youll see the "loading" icon on top of the app you want to launch (like desktop firefox, for example) for close to two minutes.
- You need to enter unsecure mode to sideload apps, and going forwards, need to manually pick "load OS from internal memory" whenever you reboot.

You have to REALLY make the argument for yourself as to why this would be worth your $$. No review can do it justice...you have to try this machine out. If your BB has it on display...try it out there. It is quite old now and has been since replaced, so that may be hard...but $149 is still alot of money to throw out on what could be potentially JUNK for your needs.

Ultimately, this could not supplant my ancient Surface Pro 4 with its craptastic battery, slow performance (in 2020), screen scramble (flickering screen) and broken SD card slot.

This tablet is about 2 years old. We got 3 duets. One I got for $200 and the other 2 for $115 (yes, you read that right) and $140 last year. I'm just saying that you can get this tablet cheaper if you look around.

Same processor as the Lenovo 10e ($100). But with keyboard and slimmer (than adding a folio keyboard to the 10e.

Nice entry level chromebook, definitely usable witih 128GB of storage. 4GB of RAM is the minimum for a decent usage. (I mean even some android phones have 8GB of RAM these days)

Isnt this the newer version? It seems to have the slim back vs the fat back.

EDIT: NVM, this is the older one

my 2018 one plus 7 pro android phone had 12gb ram lol. 8gb is fast becoming the bare minimum.

for what it's worth. I've had my fire hd 10 for liek 5 years and I haven't had any issues with charging/etc. It is way too sluggish now though and I traded it in. planning on getting the hd fire 10 plus when it goes on sale again with the 20% trade in discount.

According to this documentation it seems like this pen could work. Did anyone get it working?
