That's just not true at all. My Deco X20 bought from Amazon last prime day is up to date on firmware 1.5.1 20210204
That longer number is the date the firmware was last updated. Disappointing to not get an update in over a year on something only released in 2020.
First off course one is AX1800 while the other is AX3000 which means more overall throughput.
Design wise while both get great range per puck the X60 has 4 internal antennas compared to the X20 which only has 2 which means better signal stronger connections.
Then you have X60 with 6 streams compared to the X20 with 4 streams which becomes important if your adding a lot of devices on the network who need to talk a lot. Or are centered in certain parts of the house.
Real world performance from the tests I saw, you will be getting around 550-600Mbps from the X20 while the X60 will push around 700Mbps on the top end to a compatible client.
Hope that helped you, like I said if you need it now the X20 is not bad, but the X60 shines a lot brighter same goes for the X55 (watered down version of the X60) which is very similar to the X20.

I will never buy or recommend TPLink products …

So what I said is true, you just have something funky going on, but its not the products fault.
As for not wanting to be behind a subscription thats for their advanced parental controls, just about every company charges for it, netgear with their orbis, Eero with their mesh. Only company that does not charge for it currently is Asus.
Hacked left and right, care to elaborate cause I have seen nothing about them getting hacked more than any other brand?

Not sure but thats not normal so probably defective unit or issues in the environment. As can be seen by MANY professional reviewers the speeds are there on all their units.

Costco deal it was $200 not to long ago and Costco reruns their deals so it will probably come back around. If you dont plan on going above 500Mbps you should be fine. The only other things your missing out is a bit more range on the pucks and those extra two streams if you have a lot of network chatter from a ton of smart home devices.
He would be incorrect I already posted the latest firmware and its from 2022 so he has him problems.
Thank you for all the I fo you have been sharing.
After reading your posts I decided to go for the refurbed x60 from Ebay instead, for the same price as the x20
