Been skipping the 2021 model deals because I wanted the matte finish of the 2022 model which has WAF:

Just having something other than a giant black mirror on the wall when not in use is a huge value to me.
The new matte finish works great and many people freak out when they see that the huge painting on my wall mysteriously changed. It's awesome and very impressive. I love the artwork and the minimalism of just having effectively a huge art piece. It completely changed my room layout and we completely redirected our design plan around this tv. No big entertainment console taking up a whole wall. I placed two nice chairs with a small side table just under the TV making it appear as just a a sitting area with a painting. I ran the connect box cable through the wall down behind the side table and it really just looks like a nice sitting area until we switch a show on.
The ART mode is great. The smart functionality completely negated my dependance on a fire TV AND it even has a built in XBOX function that you can play with a simple subscription and bluetooth controller. I didn't even know that was a thing so basically I got a FREE xbox with this thing.
The sound is pretty damn fantastic considering its all from the 1in side of the bezel.
So far so good! It's the first TV my wife has genuinely loved.
Now the bad...
Buying directly from Samsung SUCKS. The delivery was a nightmare. I paid for professional installation. What I got was delivery 2 days before they scheduled the installer. The delivery guys tried to drop the TV off in the street. I had to force them to bring it to my porch and then they flatly refuse to carry it up the stairs into my house. I had to get help moving it upstairs. Two days later one incompetent guy with a drill shows up to install. He says he can't do it alone so I offered to help. He drilled about 14 holes in the wrong place a good 10 inches from where it was supposed to go. He installed the wrong anchors in the wrong place such that they wouldn't hold even a few pounds. He got sweat and smudges all over the TV and ruined my wall. I told him to leave.
I highly recommend ditching the very low quality anchors and screws that come with the TV and buying very high strength wall anchors at a hardware store. Apart from that installation is pretty easy if you follow the instructions and measure 3 times before you drill anything.
Samsung did refund me the installation cost pretty easily but it was a big fiasco to deal with.
DONT TOUCH THE SCREEN WITH ANYTHING. Oils on your skin will ruin the matte finish on the screen. Samsung is no help in cleaning it. I bought EVEO screen cleaner and microfiber cloth and eventually I was able to clean up the smudges enough that the matte looked good again.
It's just a cool TV that makes an impression on everyone that sees it. I wish I could justify the funds to buy more for other rooms. I just love the concept and its really just a different product than my old TVs.
1) Remote never worked so I had to file a ticket. They sent it for free but took me a week to receive it. Is no big deal if you have another Samsung tv with a remote. You might be able to configure it without it. If not, you are screwed. You will have to wait and the waiting time is 10-20 days according to them. I received it early.
2) Picture is cloudy when screen goes dark! Look at the reviews on Amazon. Is a factory issue. You have high chances of having this issue. It is extremely common.
Other than that, I do like it. If having a cloudy picture when watching night scenes doesnt bother you, then go for it. The cloudiness is always there but is really noticeable when scenes have dark colors. I dont see them at all on ligther colors, unless I get extremely close to the tv. I just returned mine and bought another one with these cheaper prices. Not worth the reg price at all.

Need a large hole for the ConnectOne box I originally wasn't aware of. Or the transparent wire that runs downwards if you don't mind that showing
I figured that was the case. Maybe when the Sony dies ill grab one of these.
