FYI for anyone who has a current wells fargo credit card - for most of their older cards you can do a product change over to this card instead. I just did this so I can move away from my old 1% cash back card to upgrade to this. You don't get the sign up bonus but all of your credit limit, age of account and all transfers over with it.

Here's my plan. My local utilities allow extra payment. 500 to electricity, 500 to water, 500 to etc and set up the CC to pay monthly to finish before APR is up and free 300 dollars
in fact i've got medical bills anyway

I had no WF cards or accounts when I applied for their Active Cash card. Prior to that I had applied for 3 other cards in 6 months and they were all approved. I still got approval from WF with 18K credit limit for the Active Cash. My credit score was 820+ though.
What is that doing to your credit. A year ago I applied for the chase offer which was 1k back after 4K spend. Well worth it, I just canceled it because the annual fee was due soon.
Actually Synchrony Premier MC and Fidelity Visa Signature both are straight up 2% on all purchases. Synchrony credits you the cash back on the following statement period..not current statement...and Fidelity allows you cash back or credit or deposit into a Fidelity account. Both excellent cards. No annual fees.
I applied for the FNBO which is also a straight up 2 percent cash back.
same here. I like the weight of the card similar to sapphire chase card but I got a measly $500 CL.
Question for Credit card churners: I assume citi double cash is te only straight up 2% card on everything with no annoying quarter/categories?
I have the Citi Double Cash and to be honest, I kind of hate it. For starters I wouldn't call it a 2% cash. First of all, the delay of getting that extra 1% when you repay is a pain in the rear end. It doesn't reflect immediately when you pay but only after the next statement closes. So there is a time delay
Additionally, redemption counts against purchases. So let's say you purchased $100, you earn a buck, but if you redeemed $25, you're down to earning 75 cents, which is the most idiotic thing ever.
Avoid this card if you're trying to pull straight 2% with no hassel. Like Larroo said, Fidelity, Synchrony and I think there's a Paypal card too all work better.

Unless something changed (I haven't used my DC in 6+ months), I've always redeemed to my bank account, so I still get 2%. But still a pain with minimum redemption amounts and waiting for the 1%.
received card and using it just fine. I was attempting to pay off the card and learned you are only able to make payment to the card 4 times a month minus calling into the call center in which they'll process whatever free of charge. I was disappointed in that it's only 4 times a month my capitol one, credit union, jpm chase, all allow for payment on the fly over and over. So i gather I'll get used to paying once a week since I use my CC as my debit card. Rant over/
but overall love the app and great interface for 12 months zero interest anyways then I'll swap to another card.
