I thought I would share this link for checking your outstanding Amazon returns as they keep burying it deeper and deeper for some reason. This is useful if you have several returns and want to check their status quickly. Otherwise, you need to go through each order one by one, and that can be a pain, if you have many orders.
Enjoy!

Between sending used products that was packaged to look new. Too sending me a watch that was a best buy return that had someone's used watch boxed up and sealed with best buy clearance label. Needless to say I ended up having to pay for something that I shouldn't been sent in the first place.
It's On Them.
Glad to see it's not only me that's are extremely disappointed with them. I don't feel sorry when I hear they aren't making a profit. 🤣
So again, AMZ doesn't lose money from the return. The sellers do.
Lamo dude shut up. Go fight for a worthy cause.
If you have a wholes food near you, you can drop it off there. No need to box/wrap it back up and refund is basically instantly.
Never seen a UPS number that was not trackable once in the system. When you drop off at UPS, always get a receipt, because once a receipt is printed, it is in the system. When UPS picks up at home, ask them to scan it in while you wait. I get notice on my phone in seconds and know it is now in the system. And always include the paperwork inside the return box that includes the original order number and return authorization.
Personally, Amazon has given me credit before they ever received the returned package, but tracking always shows it was shipped.
Amazon may give you credit for an item that does not show tracking, but they will call it an exception. They can just as easily deny the return. The proof is on you...
Yeah to get banned maybe but I only returned an item 4 times because I kept getting duds and I got an email from some dept telling me to stop it.

Not when Amazon is the seller and the shipper... which and unless Amazon is at least the shipper, is mostly what I buy for far less problems than from third party 'foreign' sellers that also ship their sales.

Nevertheless, I have never lost a dime.... just some time. If you have a claim/return (besides try on clothing), present it well in the return form with photos. I almost always open packages right where delivery left them after taking a photo or three of any possible damages on exterior. Sometimes, and like Walmart, Home Depot, etc., no return is even required for a full credit.
And be nice... customer service did not cause the problem, but they are the gatekeeper to getting what you want.

That was interesting... Wondering if there are other drop off locations where you don't have to package items? I am rural and typically opt for pickup, but nice to know there are options.
Yea, four times and about to do a fifth for the same item was getting excessive. After the second return and certainly the third, that was a clue that whatever would not work for you and a waste of time and shipping costs. Anyway, now you know.
Glad someone is finally sticking up for union-busting trillion $ companies . 😆
I've been billed again for returns that made it to the return center. It's easy to fix via chat bc the tracking info would've been proof that the return was delivered.
This will happen with electronics and high demand items. They have up to 2 weeks after delivery to process the refund. If they haven't processed after 2 weeks, chat customer service and they will say "looks like we lost track of it" and they will process your refund.
On mobile it does. Have to use desktop site.

FBA sellers account for most things sold on Amazon.
FBA fees are charged to the seller by Amazon even if the item is returned. And disposal fees are added to that, if the item isn't resalable. And, to add insult to injury, if a seller has too many returns, their "account health" can suffer which can lead to eventual suspension.
Bottomline for buyers: Return your items packaged and unused like they were received, to save the seller at least a little bit of money.
