Does seem a bit odd that you dislike the anime so much that you come to a slickdeals post about the game. Clearly you are nowhere near the target audience for this game. If the anime is a ripoff and bland, why would you ever play this game? Unless of course you haven't.
It seems like common sense, but if you dislike the anime it goes without saying that you won't enjoy the game. I'm trying to think if I know anyone who hates South Park and then decided to play Stick of Truth or Fractured But Whole. Nope, sure don't.
Definitely an opinion although not a very popular one. There's a reason the movie was the highest selling movie of 2020, beating all Hollywood movies and also the highest grossing movie ever in Japan. Being a "ripoff" and "bland" probably aren't accurate assessments. The anime looks great but the manga is a big seller as well meaning people certainly aren't buying it just because it looks nice.
It's fine to play the contrarian, just not sure why you would choose to do so here.

It's the same developer for Naruto series I think. If you like story style and fight style, you probably would like it. I liked the anime a lot, just like Naruto. But honestly if I want to go through the story again I'd watch it, so I skipped a lot on stories. I just wanna fight. I probably gonna skip this like One Piece.
Also, is this port servicable vs the PS5 version? Not expecting it to be the same, but as long as it's playable on switch. ALso, the Ps5 is currently on sale for 39.99
I like the anime, but is this one of those base games that only comes with 5 playable characters then made you pay $5 for each new character as DLC (dragonball fighter z)
I have the game and played through the first boss and enjoyed it. The first boss was designed well, telegraphing its moves while still being challenging if I had not dodged correctly. I haven't fully figured out its "riposte"/counter mechanic, but the rest seems to work just fine, and it's fun.
It follows a lot of the story from the show, which is great for newcomers and fans alike.
Versus battles are pair battles, with two characters on each side. Enjoyable.
This is one of the month st boring, bland games I've ever played. The anime is a bland InuYasha ripoff, but looks so amazing you can't stop watching. This game has nothing going for it.

I don't base my opinions on whether or not they'll be popular and don't put them forth to be contrary. Something being popular doesn't make it good. And no matter how popular Mugen Train is it doesn't make this game any less bland and doesn't change what I think about the series and it's protagonists Sango and Kohaku.
