I don't recall what I paid for this several years ago so I cannot speak to the price, but I love this hedge trimmer. I use it all the time on my property, and it does a fantastic job. This is great.

Paid $107 for just the tool when Home Depot was done with ego. I personally wouldn't want a 2.5aH battery and would rather wait for the tool only to go on sale. With 2 5aH batteries I don't feel the need to get new batteries until I eventually get the chainsaw.

The value in the OP is for only $58 more you receive the 2.5Ah battery and charger. Ace Hardware lists the battery for $160 with no charger.

Will this thing cut better than my electric corded black and decker that I've had for 10yrs? I have thick ass skip laurel bushes in the front of my house that grow 3+ feet a year and have to be cut way back all the time. Such a mess

Besides how long these fully charged batteries last, is there power intensity difference between these EGO 5ah and 2.5ah batteries when using these tools?

Great deal if you don't already have the multi-head system or really need an extra 4".

I picked this multi-head below up for $150 during Lowe's spring BF and it's been amazing! What I like most about is it pivots and you can lock it in at different angles. Also don't have to get up on a ladder if you have taller or bigger bushes. Super nice. Takes up less space too when storing.
