That's why it has six.
i got 4 now that i never used, one day I will mod them , i guess to play any game
Yes I have a 3090 ti and launch box. I have a mister fpga for arcade cabs
I was thinking of:
- Atgames Legends Gamer Pro (2 person joystick setup)
https://www.amazon.com/Legends-Ga...B08P91N5Q7
This regularly goes on sale for $100
- Arcade Legends Pedestal
https://arcademodup.com/product/a...l-cabinet/
- $200 (may decide to build on my own)
- Would like to add lockable wheel casters so it can be moved around
Monitor can be anything you'd like to purchase and hang on wall. Benefit to this setup is the the monitor could double as a TV set or you could add an adjustable mount so it can be used for gaming and then the pedestal rolled away and a rolling desk could be slid in to use it as a office PC.
With the AtGames Legend Gamer Pro console it can double as a Xbox controller so you could also use it to play Xbox, PS4 or Steam games. Still working on how to easily switch from one source to another but this setup would allow for the ultimate gaming setup and can easily be moved to a corner when not using it.

sometimes i just miss the simplicity of a out of the box one though. a modded one will never be kid friendly since you can open menus and mess up settings by randomly banging on buttons as kids do, and theres no simple way to properly shut a Raspberry Pi down without going into a menu (actually a dude had rigged a foolproof shutdown relay online, but it got really complicated).
i'd go sf2 all the way though. although with 5 different versions of sf2 it's really a 7 in 1 in my book, theres good variety in those 7.
the new ones btw are supposedly inferiors, the cabinet can block some of the view for tall people and the raised siding can get in the way of your hands and rub off. otoh i assume the joysticks are out of the box competent now at least. i'd still switch for sanwa sticks personally. which were about 20-25 each when i was buying so not too expensive an upgrade,
funny how a few years later 299 is like when these used to clearance for 150 (i picked up my original sf2 cab to mod for 150). our money being worth half as much as a few years ago might not be too far off!

Ive often wondered about this. I'm surprised we dont have a "hardened" image for the pi/1up enthusiasts yet, where all you do is load more games via the SD. Given the 1up specs are known and unchanging, the need for flexible settings should be greatly reduced.
