But this is even worse: It's some 3rd party merchant, not even FraudEgg itself. Might have warranty issues at the very least.

I would be really concerned about this newegg 3rd party though, the page says 1 year warranty when you scroll down, and their return policy mentions restocking fees for opened stuff. At least with Amazon you could return a drive for free no matter what.

Google around confirms this seller is legit, with some people even claiming this is Seagate themselves selling on Amazon. My own research has shown the seller ( https://www.amazon.com/sp?seller=A2N40
