I just called Boost , their customer service barely spoke English
got transferred to the cancelation department
the woman named Amanda told me that this is the price and the device is prepaid and I will not be charged if I don't use the device
If I want to use the device then I can buy a plan from their website.

I hope this helps

How do deny it if it is left on your doorstep?? Take it back to a UPS store?
Yes, though questionable if you would have to pay a $25 restocking fee

I initially talked to support and they transferred me to sales whom were able to cancel my 2 orders easily

You leave a message taped to your door the day before it arrives.:
"I would like to deny the UPS Package"

Note: if you're expecting more than one package on that day, then enter the tracking # to help identify it.

Tech told me to deny the UPS package. Seems easy enough.
The question remains though, would we have to pay the $25 restocking fee?

Any summary why need cancel this deal?

Hypothetically, if you order this and do not activate it, Boost might possibly charge you the full MSRP for the hot spot. Theres some questions of what kind of activation would be needed/sufficient to comply with that ToS that's been posted.

Some public library systems recently received a bunch of chromebooks and Tmobile hotspot devices that you can check out, like regular books, with just a library card. My library also has an app I can use to manage my loans, so I can just renew the hotspot from my phone without physically having to go to the library. But as for how many times I can renew the loan, I'm not sure yet. I guess it depends if there's a waiting list or not.
So your library loans out free cell hotspots? Is it unlimited data? If so, that's pretty cool. I might grab one on a different network (if they have it) when I plan on being out in the boonies next time.

Ok. I pulled trigger fast, then read the comments 😔 I didn't want to get a surprise in 60 days sonI called in to cancel.
After 3 transfers I got a confirmation number of cancel.
I asked the customer support lady would I have been charged additional for not activating the device...she stated, 'no, you can buy the hotspot for $1 and not activate it. But it will not work on any other carrier.

So now just to be sure, I'm reordering with privacy.

Ordered and then canceled. Still waiting for cancelation email though.

Steps:

Called Boost Mobile Customer Service, pressed #, then 3, then #, then ignored the first prompt (without pressing anything) and waited for the second prompt, then pressed 2 to speak to customer rep. Told him I wanted to cancel an online order. He transferred me to a sales team rep, who said that she has submitted my cancelation request and that I should receive an email about the cancelation within 24 hours.
Did exactly what you said, and it worked. take my up vote

My paypal transaction completely disappeared after I called to cancel.

It's better to double check the order status to make sure it got cancelled.
I have go to "order status" -> input the "order number" & "email address" -> Order Status showing "CANCELLED"

Finally spoke to sales person who said that they would do their best to cancel. Got a cancellation confirmation number. He remarked that they were getting a bunch of calls in the past couple of hours requesting the same thing. He said that if it didn't cancel and I missed refusing it then I would have to pay shipping charges to send it back to them.

It's unlimited data. Not sure how "unlimited" it is, meaning if you'd get throttled or not after using up a certain amount of gb.

I used PayPal to buy this, but I'm calling to cancel the order, after reading the TOS it is better not take any risk.

I tried paying with Vanilla GC with balance, a privacy.com card and other methods without luck. That by itself got me more suspicious that they need a real card to charge later if needed.

It is a pain to get to a human by calling their support line.
I paid with a privacy.com card.

Too many conflicting information regarding to the activation terms. It's a sh!tstorm due to confusing TOS.

I guess this is a deal that goes against the motto of "Buy now, think later" on Slickdeals. 😁
