I just called Boost , their customer service barely spoke English
got transferred to the cancelation department
the woman named Amanda told me that this is the price and the device is prepaid and I will not be charged if I don't use the device
If I want to use the device then I can buy a plan from their website.

I hope this helps

Boost support insists there will be no additional charges. So I will not sweat it and if I see an additional charge in a few months I will simply dispute with my CC.

Same for me - exactly what the chat people said. No additional charges. I just want the battery and the cable anyway.

Customer support was no help. They just told me to refuse the delivery and there was no way to cancel the order.
I haven't read this thread closely but saw this post and wanted to share an FYI on Boost's "refuse the delivery and get a refund" routine:

Three months ago I ordered a phone from Boost late in the evening and attempted to cancel first thing in the morning when their CS hours started.

They told me they couldn't cancel the order so just refuse the delivery and have it returned.

I did just that. Saved proof from tracking info that it was delivered back to them a few days later.

Waited 2 weeks, still no refund. Called Boost, after giving all info they told me refund was processing and I'd see it in 3-5 days. Waited a week, no refund. Called again, same thing - told me refund is processing, wait 3-5 days. Waited a week, called again, same thing - this time they said 2-3 days. Never gave me a reference ID.

Called a week after that (5 weeks after they received refused package). Demanded a manager. He tried saying I should have accepted the package then done an RMA. I told him I did exactly what your support told me to do. Escalated to supervisor who after some time gave me a reference ID and said he'd follow up personally within 3-5 days.

Waited a week, nothing. Finally called my CC around 6/8 and initiated a dispute. Sent them all necessary info (order info, tracking, proof of returned delivery, logs of my calls, etc.). They issued the credit promptly while they did their investigation, and just yesterday I received the letter confirming they finished their research and the credit is final.

tl;dr - Boost Mobile is shady. Save all tracking info. Call them 1-2x, keep track of what they tell you, and be prepared to dispute the charge with your CC company.

FYI, if you requested a cancellation but didn't receive neither a cancellation confirmation nor a shipping confirmation, your order has likely been cancelled (that's what a rep just told me after I complained that after 24 hours I hadn't been informed of my case resolution)

This has exactly been my experience as well! However, I paid through Paypal and Paypal refunded my money after showing them the chat transcripts with multiple boost mobile cs reps.

So I ordered two of these and called yesterday to cancel the order. The lady gave me a case number and told me she would cancel it. Today I get an email confirming that they have shipped to me. After reading through this there is so much conflicting information. If I receive these and just keep them is it a definite that I will be changed the full amount if I do not activate them or do we simply just do not know.

theres no misinformation here. people are being told one of two very different things by Boost. what to believe? no further charges or full price charge if no activation? Boost CS says both depending on who u talk to.

Ordered and then canceled. Still waiting for cancelation email though.

Steps:

Called Boost Mobile Customer Service, pressed #, then 3, then #, then ignored the first prompt (without pressing anything) and waited for the second prompt, then pressed 2 to speak to customer rep. Told him I wanted to cancel an online order. He transferred me to a sales team rep, who said that she has submitted my cancelation request and that I should receive an email about the cancelation within 24 hours.
thanks for this post it helped a lot when calling customer service and navigating the menu.

I just called to cancel too. Rep told me it was already cancelled though. Anyone else have that happen?
