Serious comment: is this a deal when the 6700S model has gone for $1500 once per month? Currently the price difference between the 6700S and 6800S version is $50 which absolutely makes this a deal, but for $200 difference, what do folks think? My use case would be mainly daily usage with casual/moderate gaming.

How is this a good deal if the 6800 S is only $50 more but this laptop is $200 more than the version with the 6700 S? I don't understand what you're saying

This below seems like a FAR FAR FAR better deal. In fact, I am tempted cancel my order for my $1100 360Hz panel 3060 Dell G15 with an 11800H to get the one below.

it is a better deal than the g14 but theres a weight difference, 3.8lbs vs 5.3lbs, last gen components vs current, 16:10 higher res screen on the g14 and different build / feel, biometrics, etc. Depends on whats important to you. The g15 does have a better video card tho

but compared to the Dell, ya the g15 is definitely better

Sorry if it was confusing, definitely could have made it clearer.

Right now the version with the 6800S is $1700 on sale, $50 more than the version with the 6700S (which isn't on sale currently).

I've been seeing the 6700S version go on sale for $1500 around 3 times in the past 2-3 months. So the best price for that laptop would be $200 less than this deal.

I understand that the 6700S one isn't on sale right now but judging from the trends, it goes on sale quite frequently and I don't need a laptop right this minute but would be looking for one in the next month or two.

Only buy this if your in the market for a 14 inch laptop. 15 inch laptops will always be better but they're less portable. Also g15 screen is too dim for me.

I believe the 6800s only has a 128bit bus size, which limits its performance at higher than 1080p resolutions, so I'd try and get something 3070 based

Not sure about that! Your linked deal uses the older Gen CPU and is significantly heavier

Its too late to cancel my order for the G15 anyway. I ordered a reurbished model with the 360Hz panel, which (supposedly) has GSync and Advanced Optimus support. I'll find out later today as it's out for delivery.
