DDR5 doesnt make any real difference on laptops since its all lower speed right now. Like on desktop you basically need DDR5-6000+ to see worthwhile gains over DDR4-3200. Also prices arent dropping anytime soon as 12th gen just launched and inflation will be driving prices higher

I can understand comments complaining about soldered dimm, low SSD storage, 1080p screen. But jeez to say not a good deal because of DDR4 is really nitpicking haha

As that mindset becomes widespread people will want to spend their increasingly worthless dollars for hard goods as quickly as possible —creating an upward spiral of price increases.
