Depends on the 2.4ghz device but most work fine on the smart connect, only major brand that has problems is usually ring, but know plenty of people who have ring and dont have an issue either.
M9+ easily pulls 400-500Mbps to any proper client so if your having problems yoe either have a bad node try swapping it with a different one and see if you get same results, or you have a environment type problem.
This X60 system is perfect for people with ISP speeds of 500-800Mbps as it can deliver about 700ish of that over wifi to a device if needed consistently as long as its a proper client.

I'm sticking with the x60s because I already have them and I usually upgrade my wi-fi every 3 years or less. If I were buying today, I would probably pay the extra $100 for 6e.
all satellites seems to connect to main only(at least with my config). I put main in one side of house by the wall upper level, 2nd in basement on same side wall so it can connect to main easily. 3rd one in middle level but in the room of far end to cover other weak corners. You can use a signal mapper (android app wifi man) to test signal to main in different places
Modem-->DECO 1-->Switch -->Deco2/Deco3.
I've never tried the signal mapper but will check it out and see if it's going to help in fixing the issue. I hope it works this time
