The BMPCC4K vs GH5s is debatable. Both cameras have their strengths and weaknesses. BMPCC4K has no AF at all, GH5s has DFD AF (I know, let's not get into DFD vs PD AF) and is somewhat usable at 60FPS and 179-degree shutter angle and if you're willing to adjust settings per type of scene. BMPCC4K is also awkward to fit and balance on stabilizer, and often doesn't. GH5s has fully articulated flip-out screen which is very useful if you're a 1-person crew. GH5s can record to dual SD cards, BMPCC4K needs to add SSD and probably needs to be rigged up before you have a useful camera. BMPCC4K is great value for those with a crew, will always pull focus manually, and have someone behind the camera for you. GH5s is better suited if you're mostly on your own. The debate can go on and on, but in short, it all depends on the use case and situation. I just wouldn't dismiss the GH5s because BMPCC4K exists.

I keep hearing people say that Blackmagic cameras lack Auto Focus. That's an urban myth. I have three generations of pocket cameras and have used Auto Focus on all of them. What they lack is continuous Auto Focus. There is a focus button to do AF automatically, or you can zoom in to an area like a cell phone by spreading your fingers and touch to Auto Focus. You also have a zoom button. It uses Contrast Detect for it's AF, and they haven't spent millions integrating AF into a line of proprietary lenses with the latest features. Many camera manufacturers have, and it still falls short of what we want. You simply set it and then shoot. That's a good thing, nothing spells amateur production faster than an AF algorithm struggling to find focus.
You can also add continuous auto focus for MF Cine lenses with DJI's new Lidar range finder system, even without using a gimbal.
"…LiDAR range finder system to equip manual lenses with autofocus capability. According to DJI, the LiDAR system projects 43,200 ranging points within a 14-meter indoor area to provide an accurate 3D map for the autofocus. Additionally, the range finder has a built-in 30mm camera that enables ActiveTrack Pro for sensitive target identification and tracking."

If you need a camera to compare to that has no AF at all, use the flagship Sony Venice II.
