Also from different thread - there are some issues with amazon links, when you go to the product page and change size/style/etc Amazon can also change Seller and display different price.
Mine are direct links to specific size sold by Amazon.

I avoid Amazon Levi's sale after my last pair of 511's I got from them on sale had a substantially worse feel and fit than even outlet pairs I own. I suspect they're counterfeit. YMMV

I ordered "the rose" color last time at $18, a few weeks ago, and they're the real deal. Wearing a pair of them now. As per earlier comment by the OP, make sure they're sold and shipped by Amazon and you should be OK.

Same here the stitching was so uneven, was not fit to be a factory second. Sold and shipped by Amazon.

The last time I wore button fly jeans was before cell phones were a thing (outside of Motorola brick phone that only Zack Morris carried).

I remember those days! Ironically, digital cellular has since bricked the brick phones.

In those days Levi's were twice as heavy and lasted for many years. Now they put more effort into their political views than their product, and it shows. I haven't had the crooked stitching problem yet that others have posted, so for now I'm still buying 501s when they're a good price like this. Luckily Amazon has a generous return policy if I ever have a problem.

Had 1 pair of Levi button closure jeans. Fit great but too much hassle with the button closure. Will never purchase another pair without zipper closure. Decent price otherwise.

Raw denim 501s was all I wore in HS and later in college. You get used to them and actually like the button fly, at least I did. I got to where I could do the buttons one handed. And I buttoned up many a time in tight quarters in the back seat of a car, you just have to get used to them. For me , 501s, especially the raw denim, end up fitting and looking better than any other Jean.

502's in the panda wash also seem to be the same price (which happens to be my favorite fit and color).
