Oh, what's that? You can buy a bunch of air filters [pscleanair.gov] and a box fan and build an excellent filter at lower upfront and long-term costs? And it's widely accepted by health and safety experts/regulators as effective? Do yourself a favor and research Corsi-Rosenthal [google.com] boxes before you buy this. I say this as someone with chronic respiratory distress who owns this exact Walmart model (and ext warranty!). Also know that you will continue to buy air filters no matter what, and in either scenario you get some warranty on the parts that break (spinny fan thing that whooshes air). The CR filter will have 4-5x the surface area for filtering, but you should get a decent enough consumer fan to generate static pressure. You don't need anything more than a $15-$30 box fan.

That being said, I've had my 200M over a month and really like it. This is exactly the same as Coway's best seller, just Walmart licensed and fitted with a more sensible front griIll (at least visually). Relatively quiet, with a very tolerable white noise sound signature. However, a CR will be much quiet with a decent fan due to increased filtering area for the same CFM. Also, I don't know why the ionizer is there since it creates ozone and even a little chronic exposure can be dangerous [epa.gov]. Please avoid using the ionizer, or at least be mindful that you SHOULD NOT be in the same room, maybe even the same building, and you need several hours for the ozone to sink, then hope it gradually dissipates.

I have two of these and they perform pretty well in eco mode. With the ionizer on it does consume a ton of energy. There basically no aftermarket filters for these, anything you get will not fit (too small) or be way too porous and jam up the fan. Also counterfeit filters are common on amazon so make sure to check you filters immediately by shining a light through.

I been waiting for this price range after researching since prime day. I didn't like the other circular design but this is perfect. Thanks!!

And yes, it is the exact same spec as the AP-1512HH. They even use the same filter. The only difference is the front design

It's great for a room. Quite on first setting, and the auto mode works pretty well to ramp up to level two and three. Great with smoke in the SoCal fire season.
