Have 2 and love them the aftermarket filters are like OEM. Look for the mighty replacement filter as it is the same size. I sleep with it on medium as it isn't loud. Would highly recommend

Yup this is way better. My daughter used to have an essential oil diffuser that she thought didn't work. Turns out this thing would kick on and filter it out.

Good question, I was wondering the same thing. This seems to have a higher throughput, also if you like at the Winix C545 it's rather large. This looks like you could put it on a table top and have it not be too awkward.

I ended up springing for the C545 this summer because there was a deal where a second set of filters was included. I've never had an air purifier before but I like fans a lot and was looking at maybe springing for a Dyson. The thing is, they have seemingly discontinued their desktop purifier fans. I figured I should try an air purifier first and see if I really care for it before I spend a lot of money on one.

The C545 seems pretty decent. One thing I can tell you is that some of the carbon filters have carbon in these hexagonal chambers and some pass it through a foam layer that's infused with carbon, and I've heard the filter layers with the loose carbon in the chambers is better. That having been said, the C545 does not have the loose carbon filter layer. Winix does have it on some of their slightly higher end filters. I don't know if this Coway one does, but the form factor seems very practical. Anyway, if you decide to buy a purifier I hope it works out well for you. Have a nice day.

With all the yearly wildfires nearby I'd say it doesn't hurt

Yes; I don't know how I could live through recent summers without air purifiers. I'm buying another one of these for the last room in my house that doesn't have one.

I have several of these and a couple of Winix purifiers (AM80,C535) because its dusty where I live. I prefer the Coways. IMO they work better when in auto mode. When there is smells in the house from cooking or outside if I leave the doors open the Coways will kick into high and my Winix purifiers will not.
