To turn off the ionizer directly on the Winix C545, simultaneously press and hold both the right arrow and left arrow buttons for about three seconds until the "P" turns off.
Have 2 and love them the aftermarket filters are like OEM. Look for the mighty replacement filter as it is the same size. I sleep with it on medium as it isn't loud. Would highly recommend
I have 4 winix and one coway. Only thing i like about coway is you can turn off the ionizer. Ionizers slowly accumulate ozone. Ionizers are ok to use in some situations like cooking smell etc but i don't want it to always on. C545 u can't turn it off except thru the app which I hate. Am80 n 90 there is a physical button like coway to turn it off. So i put the coway on master and 545 on basment utility room and attic

Thanks OP. I figured I need to get rid of my Hamilton Beach as I run it pretty constantly and it still manages to collect a large layer of dust. At this point it's just a glorified noise machine.

Good question, I was wondering the same thing. This seems to have a higher throughput, also if you like at the Winix C545 it's rather large. This looks like you could put it on a table top and have it not be too awkward.
I ended up springing for the C545 this summer because there was a deal where a second set of filters was included. I've never had an air purifier before but I like fans a lot and was looking at maybe springing for a Dyson. The thing is, they have seemingly discontinued their desktop purifier fans. I figured I should try an air purifier first and see if I really care for it before I spend a lot of money on one.
The C545 seems pretty decent. One thing I can tell you is that some of the carbon filters have carbon in these hexagonal chambers and some pass it through a foam layer that's infused with carbon, and I've heard the filter layers with the loose carbon in the chambers is better. That having been said, the C545 does not have the loose carbon filter layer. Winix does have it on some of their slightly higher end filters. I don't know if this Coway one does, but the form factor seems very practical. Anyway, if you decide to buy a purifier I hope it works out well for you. Have a nice day.
I have 4 of these and would never put them on a tabletop. They aren't small enough for that
