Sam's 3% works when using scan and go. Categorizes as online retail purchase.
Doesn't work for sams gas though

I had no idea about the restrictions that 3% back on gas was only at standalone gas stations. To make sure I'm clear, you're only talking about the Amex CC not giving 3% for gas at Sam's Club, Costco, or food stores?
