Originally over $300, went on sale for $189, and I bought in April when it dropped to $149. It's a steal at this lower price. Big, bright screen, fairly snappy processor. The specs don't say IPS screen, but it's so big I haven't had any issues with viewing angles
.
I have Core I3-8 and I5-10 Windows laptops, and an older Chromebook and Chromebox that I converted to Gallium OS after automatic updates expired, and this laptop doesn't seem terribly slow compared to the Core machines when it comes to simple email and web.tasks. It also gets updates until 2029. Decent deal. Thanks OP

Isnt this a repost of https://slickdeals.net/f/15942781-asus-17-3-chromebook-intel-celeron-n4500-4gb-memory-32gb-emmc-transparent-silver-open-box-starting-at-72-99-best-buy?src=frontpage? This link talks about open box but it is essentially the same as the one OP has listed here for $120.

This is tremendous at this price. I bought for $75 for "good" condition but it looks perfect, I'm using it right now, as an extra web laptop it's big, bright and snappy.

My order just arrived today. I haven't had a laptop this big ever... it is comically large. There is so much space around the keyboard. I didn't read the specs and there is no back-lit keyboard. Not sure if I'm going to keep or not.

I mean... it's a 17-inch laptop. It does have some plastic bezeling, but I got mine, and yeah... it's a 17-inch laptop with a smaller keyboard.

For me it's a giant display and emergency machine - for showing people why I don't prefer Chrome OS today.

Way too many to list here. But mainly fragmenting the Linux community by refusing to embrace Wayland, and trying to pressure people to store everything in the cloud through a poor desktop user experience.

Showing how hard it is to manage documents and files securely, whereas a traditional PC can backup and manage with a click... may win over some C-Suites.

Felt compelled to offer my mini-review. I got this for $75 + tax and it looked like new.

Pros

Very well made, feels sturdy and looks good
Fast enough for a web surfing machine
Keyboard and touchpad are responsive
USB C charging ( Yay ! )

Cons
Heavy. I mean if someone attacks you, defensive weapon heavy. And they might attack you because it really does look nice
Text is not sharp and reading is not pleasurable. This is what made me return it. I read a lot and having to look past blurry text is just not something I'm willing to do.

OLED is lovely but a nice IPS screen is also fine. On another posting I mentioned how I bought a Lenovo 300e G1 11.6" IPS Touchscreen N3450 notebook and it's a joy to use - if u can handle the 11.6 screen. I got it for $45 from ebay and had to load Windows. Very impressive.
