- You must be a new Fi customer. A new Fi customer is someone who has never had Fi service or someone whose last day of Fi service took place more than 180 days before making a purchase with this promotion.
- To qualify for the full $500 discount, you need to:
- Activate the phone on a new full service plan (data-only SIMs do not qualify) within 30 days of the shipment confirmation email and keep the qualifying phone active on Google Fi for 120 consecutive days.
- You must activate on the same Fi account used to purchase the phone or be a new member of the purchaser's group plan.
You must also bring/transfer your number to Fi within 30 days of the shipment confirmation email. Fi-to-Fi number transfers are not eligible. - The discounted price will automatically apply during checkout. If you do not meet the conditions above, $500 will be charged to your Google Pay account.

Leave the GFi sim in and use your regular service via the eSim as the primary since it comes unlocked. The Google Fi app shows the countdown timer to 120 days and them you port your number back to Google voice.
No need to make it unnecessarily complicated.
More realistic is somewhere between $23- $26 which end up to $92 - $104

If you use mobile data, you shouldn't be buying the $20/mo plan unless it is occasional between WiFi spots in daily use. For people, who use WiFi most of the time, they don't need to pay for what they don't use. Other carriers are very expensive for this for single lines.
You can buy some other prepaid virtual carriers that might be better fit but they don't come with the international roaming features or free international SMS of GFi.
The individual $20 is called the Flex plan. It includes no data. If you use any data on this plan, you will be charged $10 per GB(prorated, I believe).
There is no individual $20 plan that includes data.
I am presently on the Flex plan with the s22, base model.
My 3rd time on this plan, over the years, with various phones purchased.
Not everybody has 4 people or even 2 people they are buying for as a group.
The carriers really screw you if you just want one line because they want a minimum ARPU per account.
$20/line with occasional use is great for single line with pay as you use flexibility for data.

S22 has battery life issues.
S22 Ultra is too think and big. Unless you need the note pencil feature or the Super Zoom cameras it's not worth it.
