I don't need one right now but I can't pass it up for $82. But I couldn't place the order and cancel like past HD Milwaukee orders. It won't allow me to cancel the items individually. Cancelling the entire order is the only option. I also tried shipping them to store and home separately to see if that will help but it no longer seems to allow that either. I wonder if HD got rid of the hack or if it just doesn't work on this?

If you need a 5ah battery then this is the way to go to get one and walk away with a Fuel grinder for few bucks more. Cheapest 5ah battery with HD hack I've seen all summer has been around $76. This includes a fuel grinder so no brainer. Thanks OP!

Wow. Thanks. This finally finishes my Milwaukee tool list. I wish I had the 6.0 batteries, but this is fine. Actually, I am waiting for a deal on the Pole Saw? If I am saying is correctly.

It appears Home Depot has stopped us from canceling just one item in the order. Anyone know of a work around other than returning the battery?

The last time I needed to hack something I just returned the battery immediately when I picked up the order

Ship the battery to a different store and just don't pick it up. They'll automatically cancel it after a week.

If one store available for pickup the battery right away, and the other available on August 8-13. Do they cancel both of them if I don't pickup the battery first?

Specifically the grinder + battery deal may have worked previously, but it is no longer available. Both the grinder and the free battery are a single line item in both the cart and at checkout. You can still buy the grinder with the battery, but they are considered a single item at this point.

Are you sure you understand the deal here?

[Grinder + Battery] + another "free" battery = good-ish deal
return the "free" battery -> amazing deal, walk away with a ginder and battery

just because you do not understand how it works, doesn't mean that other people can't figure it out.
