Milwaukee's own product listing indicates this is braking/rapidstop.
That said, what it doesn't have is variable speed like the Specifications section on Home Depot indicates.

..but also because it uses "better" 21700 cells offering higher output: https://www.protoolrevi

i would buy this if it had a 6ah OR a 3ah battery. i'd prefer either one over this 5ah. the 3ah has the benefit of being smaller, lighter while still having better output. i wouldn't buy this deal because i would never use this battery. it would just collect dust
and i'm not the only who feels this way. 3ah batteries sell for a lot more money than 5ah on fleabay because they are just so much better in every way imaginable. 3ash usually fetch around $70 for "open box' units while new, sealed 5ah batteries sell for around $50.
i'm not saying this because i was planning to sell it, in fact i'm trying to buy a few more 3ah batteries, but it just proves my point. the 5ah batteries suck
3ah and 6ah Milwaukee batteries are high output batteries, and tools perform better with those batteries attached to them.
