Your deal will show up sooner than later. I recently picked up a Dell 3040 SFF ready to go for $60 shipped, and it's a wonderful little machine. Looks brand new as well. And has native 4K HDMI output for my 4K monitor. Good times.

Also is this an nvme drive in it?

I got the Gigabyte GeForce GT 1030 GV-N1030D5-2GL [amazon.com] for the i5 version of the Acer Aspire XC, should work with this i3 version. Does support 4k@60hz and includes the low profile bracket but not sure if it's the cheapest.
$25 [amazon.com]
$25.50 [newegg.com]
I think mine comes in on Tuesday.

(This is assuming you are trying to drive a 4k TV. If you are trying to drive a 4k monitor with a DisplayPort input you can get an even cheaper card, I think something as old as a Quadro 410 has a DisplayPort 1.2 output which can do 4k@60Hz.)

I see a lot of comments about replacing the fan on this as it's pretty loud but maybe that's only on certain ones? I just really wish this had displayport on it for 4k@60hz that way I wouldn't have to buy a graphics card.
Decisions, decisions...

- 2x NVMe (moved the 256gb nvme to a PCIe and installed a Samsung evo pro 2 tb as the primary drive)
- 3x SATA
- 32gb RAM
- The integrated graphics don't support 3440x1440 60p so I plugged in both HDMI's into my same monitor, enabled SBS picture mode and used the merge outputs feature in the intel graphics app.
-Windows 11 is awesome!
I also got 2x 88 Celerons running proxmox+docker with a few homeserver apps. Got another 88 Celeron set up at my parents house for backup, connected through both tailscale and cloudflare tunnel. These machines from Acer are simply amazing and these acer deals are at the top of my favourite slickdeals of all time.
Get one while you can as they will eventually run out of these machines to sell.
I've never heard of SBS picture mode. Can that be used in windows 11 to to 4k@60hz over hdmi in this machine?
I am looking to replace my 5ish+ year old Dell Inspiron 3847 with an I5-4460 processor. It has 8gb DDR3 Ram and I 1TB HDD (no ssd).
I am trying to decide what option I should go with. I like the idea of this being on Win 10 which my Dell currently runs but I can upgrade this Acer to Windows 11 when I chose. I also like the (2) year warranty which offers some peace of mind.
Ideally I want my replacement pc to be able to drive a 43" 4k monitor @60hz which unfortunately this won't do so I would need to add a graphics card and probably another 8gb of Ram. I'm ok with the 256gb ssd drive.
I could do cheap with this Dell Optiplex 7040 which has 16gb ram and 256 ssd. As a bonus it has (2) display port 1.2 which will do 4k@60hz. Basically I could use this Optiplex as is but not sure how much life it would have left it in. If I knew it would last me 3 years or so until Windows 10 is end of life it would be a no brainer. Here's the link to it:

My other option is to go with this new Dell Inspiron 3910 from Costco for $500 - it has an I5-12400 and 12gb of ram. The link shows out of stock online but they have a bunch at the Costco's near me:

Open to suggestions and or criticisms (lol).

Knock on wood my current Dell Inspiron 3847 has been rock solid for me so I wouldn't be too hesitant to buy the Inspiron at Costco. I did see someone post this in the reviews for the Dell Inspiron 3910 on the Costco website:
The SSD is from Toshiba that has lower TBW (Tera-byte-write) than Samsung's that translates to shorter life span. The worst is that it does not come with any software to monitor the TBW to know when the SSD is about to end its life.
I've never used an SSD drive so not sure if this is something to get my panties in a bunch over or not?
Also the Costco Dell comes with Windows 11 with installed and I have no experience with it so not sure what to make of that.
