Capcom has confirmed that the new Resident Evil Village DLC will be free. Capcom's executive officer, Yoichi Egawa, said in a report:
"We will drive our customer management to understand the playing trends and preferences of users while also building a business model for online operations. Taking into account the situation of our free additional DLC for titles such as Monster Hunter Rise and Resident Evil Village."

But... sure seems like he was talking about the accessibility nonsense update being free
"
The new accessibility options that will be added include highly requested subtitle changes, which will allow players to adjust the size and color, as well as toggle the background on and off. The names of characters will also be available to display in story mode to indict who is speaking, and closed captions will be introduced. A permanent reticle option is getting added too.

all that being said...
i spent 58hrs in the game, according to Steam. i feel i got my money's worth, especially since i got it for <20$
They didn't specify what DLC content will be free. I imagine it would be smaller DLC add-ons that would be free not major expansions like this. Article [thenerdstash.com]
Headshots were impossible with controllers.
Headshots were impossible with controllers.
Hate to be that guy… but sounds like more practice is needed 😉
Side note…
I did do a quick search, sounds like the toggle-able aim assist is pretty absurd on console and will literally lock onto the torso/mid section. Meaning your fighting the aim assist for headshots. People suggest turning it off. I know on games like Halo the aim assist always screws me over, like when a different enemy crosses my line of fire… it'll start following him and I need to compensate. Annoying to say the least 😉

I play PC with an Xbox Series X controller. No issues here. Beat it on Village of Shadows after 50 tries though....lol
There was no way they were going to make a major DLC story free. They never said it would be free, either. I believe everyone is getting the 3rd person view for free. Also, "so short?" Nearly every Resident Evil has been short. Several of them even gave you unlocks if you beat them in under 4 hours. This was plenty long enough.
Exactly. I have no idea what that person is talking about. It was longer than other Resident Evils. It was just as long as it needed to be. The pacing was great, because they didn't try to drag it out, but none of it felt rushed, either.

I beat it on PS4 and again on PS5, and got headshots left and right. No issues whatsoever.
The first couple games, there were 2 or more characters and the path and difficulty changed by character. You got a different piece of the story. Definitely more content.
