Hell of a deal!!! I pulled the trigger on an SVS PB-3000 two days ago to replace a 22 year old Velodyne HGS-18 whose amp just died on me. Had this deal been available then, I would've been all over this one, instead.
Just curious, I have the same Velodyne that still working great, is it a big jump in bass quality for the new sub or if yours still works you won't upgrade?

3800+ Watt peak?? Do you need a dedicated 40A outlet for this sub?

20A would barely meet the RMS rating.
The rating on a circuit is designed for continuous loads. At very short durations the outlet can carry a lot more current than it's rated for, which is why subwoofers won't trip the outlet at peak power. I'm currently running a Monolith 15, an AVR w/ 5 speakers, a 65" TV, and a PS5 on a 15A circuit without any problems.

That's not how the math works. Also, RMS max and peak power aren't the same. You have to also consider the capacitors within the amplifiers.

It says free shipping but users in review said they were later charged $150 by FedEx even though monoprice stated free shipping. Anyone else got charged shipping when directly buying subs from monoprice?

Well I guess I'll throw my dual 12" monoliths in the trash and get two of these instead

What's the output difference between one of these and the previous 15" Monolith version?

I have a Velodyne 15 that's still thumping away too. I've heard this sub. There's definitely a difference, but I'm holding pat until the V actually dies. Even if not at this price, this sub's on the shortlist of what's next if needed. If I was an every day constant user, I'd upgrade. For normal users like me, probably not something to do just for an upgrade. Good luck with your choice.

Potentially subjective question - 2 Klipsch R-112's (what I currently have) or one of these?

Why though? I would laugh at FedEx if they pulled that; also when it comes to returns Monoprice provides a free return label.

I'd guess one of these for most people, but it depends. Here's a pretty decent article explaining the trade offs https://startingtodj.com/1-large-...-for-home/

That PSA sub is 2,299.99. I'm only paying $1,699 for these PLUS they gave me all of my credit back for my original 2 x 15in purchase so I'm only coming out of pocket like $1,000 for subs that normally go for $4,600 for two...the same price as the PSA (2,299.99) https://www.powersoundaudio.com/products/tv1813

That PSA FR = 14hz-150Hz Anechoic (+/-3dB)

That's pretty much what the 15in did in terms of FR.

The SVS PB16 is $2,899. This is a steal for $1,700 that will best it.
It's really not a comparison. PSA is in another league
