Finally seeing RTX gpus "under" MSRP. Comes with a free EVGA Z12 Keyboard.

You can also get the EVGA GeForce RTX 3070 FTW3 ULTRA GAMING, 08G-P5-3767-KL for $520 which is pretty good for a better cooler. Also comes with the same Z12 keyboard for free.

This late in the game, it should be closer to $300 for x70 cards. I'm tired of stans giving Nvidia (and AMD by extension) a free pass to arbitrarily jack up prices to levels vastly outpacing inflation.
Msrp was shit to begin with..
While this is one of the best deals on a quality RTX 3070 yet, prices for 3000 series cards have nowhere to go but down. Nvidia has a ton of stock lying around. I think we'll see the 3070s under $400 in a couple of months. Plus, the market will have a lot more used 3000 cards available. IMHO, $400 is a strong but price for the 3070, and I'm in no hurry.

Lots of brokies who will td this and wait for another $5 drop, but before they know it stock will be sold out. Why not keep waiting for the 7000 series that is right around the corner? When that drops this can be had for $25 at a garage sale! Buy what you can afford and play some games lol

Not quite how I would word it but yeah I don't see the prices going down too much more. Hold if that's what you want to do, but if you need one and want to play games now, life is too short to keep waiting all the time.

I don't know why I'm even replying as I don't care who buys or doesn't but the 1070 was $379 MSRP at launch in 2016. Adjusted to USD inflation that is about $425. So, I'll concede that maybe a 3070 should be a little lower, but I don't see it going lower than $400. Of course, I'll see if I'm wrong.
i'm thinking even 1 gen further, 970's were $329 and $30+ rebates + free games were common

point is, they're overpriced, and arbitrary higher price points shouldn't be supported

I did not really like this card on 1440p. The problem is the .1% min. I have a 3070 XC which has been retired to bedroom duty and I left the 2080 super in my main computer. It's better with games like fallout 76 or destiny 2. You just don't drop frames like the 3070 did. The 3070 does have a higher overall FPS. If you just watch YouTube videos you're going to think it's better. If you actually play games and care about things like latency the 2080 super is better. it's more consistent. If the rumors are to be believed the new 4070 should be close to a 3090 which would be amazing for 1440p. You could run 165 FPS and really turn up the settings without having much in the way of frame drops.

I assume you have G-sync monitor to have the best result

I would spend an extra $30 for the FTW3 ultra for better cooling, and VRM in case you decided to OC it. Also, a nice-looking ARGB. https://www.evga.com/products/pro...P5-3767-KL [evga.com]
Why is this comment so downvoted? Isn't it for one of the slickdeal cards?

I think folks continue to have a incorrect belief that prices hold true even with inflation.

They are premium products...not commodities, so prices will increase due to simple supply demand and ability to charge for value.

This isn't rice or grain or milk here lol

I have a 1080Ti - what series would I need to upgrade to for measurable performance gains ?

There are many, bitter gamers who want the manufacturers and retailers to pay for the price hikes. So to pay even more is going against what they're preaching right now. Honestly it's the crypto boom and scalpers that caused this and the manufacturers were reacting to the market, but we can't exactly make them pay.

You'll see a lot of comments downvoted if they even hint at buying a gpu right now.

EVGA has discounts across the board AND they're trying to sweeten the deal by giving you a free membane-key(puke) rgb keyboard.

Keep waiting it out, gentleman. Manufacturers and distributors are swimming in stock and getting more desperate every day to sell it.

The rumor on all the tech channels is that the board partners are sitting on a ton of cards because of the crypto crash. This is below msrp for the FE card. But really two months from the 4xxx cards, this is a joke. If the rumor that the new 4070 is close to 3090 power for $500. You are going to be pissed the fark off if you bought this.

I'd just sub a preorder the day they announce the 4xxx as there aren't going to be crypto bots in there buying.

Any recommendations on an upgrade from a 980 ti? i7-6700k cpu. Was thinking a 3080 would be fine and pretty noticeable? I know the cpu isn't ideal but I'm going to have to slowly upgrade things.
Upgrade the processor too. Any 4 core is going to bottle neck any new gen card hard I would think. I guess less so with 4k resolution?

Supply and demand bro. You don't like it, don't buy it. If the demand wasn't there, they'd have to lower the price.

I'd have been willing to buy a 3060ti at msrp two years ago. Yet still can't find one. They're offloading all the 80s/70s now. Now that we actually have a 3070 slightly under msrp, it's too little too late.
