since usually any promo will require you to wait from 90 days all the way to 6 months (perhaps more), they can easily get away with it.

Just transfer out and close as soon as it clears (1-2days). If it's a savings account you could end up with a check for a penny due to interest which is pretty funny.

You'll find that people have something negative to say about EVERY bank in existence. That's just the nature of what happens when you deal with an extremely high volume of customers in a service oriented market. It's just that the people with negative experiences are significantly more vocal than the overwhelming amount of people with positive experiences. Don't let human nature of gravitating to fear cloud your judgement. Scared money don't make money.
