Having used this Ozark Trail canopy and this one from Academy side by side I would grab the Academy for $15 more after $20 off $100 promotion. The main upgrade is the mechanism to extend and lower the legs. The one on the Academy is a big button that's easier to press instead of the little pill shaped button on the Ozark that can pinch fingers. Both come with crappy storage bags. Everything else is pretty much the same including the vent at the top that seems to help in the heat. The mechanism in the center of the canopy to raise and lower it may be a little better on the academy too. You can see it in one of the Ozark trail pictures.

Otherwise, the Ozark is a good canopy , especially for $65.

Really challenging. I am a single woman, 5'6", couldn't get it up on my own. Then it rained and a bowl of water formed in the canopy and broke several of the supports. I'm returning it.

Has anyone tried to get one replaced under warranty? Seems its already broken and wasn't in any major storms or anything like that. The part that "locks" it upwards is not remaining locked anymore. I mean the center part you push up.

I saw in the reviews people saying you couldn't put it away with the top on it, but I 100% did it w/o any issue, so take that for what it's worth.

also of note, with the angled legs, most have a footprint of the stated 10x10 is for the legs with the actual canopy being smaller, closer to 8x8.

There's a pretty big difference between 64 square feet of coverage and 100. Maybe you prefer something smaller, but it's definitely two different products.

We take the canopy off. Stuffing everything into the bag is a tight fit and keeping it all waded up and rolled up increases chances of bending something. The metal is thin and flimsy. This will only last if care is taken and not used on windy days.

Its still a pita. Doing it alone increase the chances of the thin legs bending or breaking exponentially.

The Costco says it weighs 32-35 lbs. Walmart 26 lbs. If thats true, Id go for the Costco for $99. Costco reviews are much better also. Not a Costco member otherwise Id try it.

They also make tents to mount to the legs. I don't know the main difference, but not super concerned about it.

No, because the legs aren't straight. For this 10x10 calculation they use the area from the tip of the bottom of the legs. The covered section is only 8x8.
