It is comfortable, fits well, distributes weight properly, is durableā¦and I also wouldn't buy it again because 4 pounds, 13 ounces is simply too much.
For $200 it's an excellent pack. But that weight is tough and I found myself getting jealous of people who paid the same price for packs that weighed half as much. Just something to consider carefully when making your choice.
Only issue isā¦first time I'm seeing "Bob Leisure". Address and phone # listed make me thinkā¦..meehhhh. Hope they aren't related to Leisure Suit Larry.
Oh, and don't forget to tell REI that you're buying a backpack elsewhere for $130+ cheaper than them.

$200 for Gray on Amazon, a little more for Black. WAY better return policy. Lol
I also bought an $800 ultralight tent.
Backpacking can get very expensive if you choose, but this is fairly middle of the pack cost-wise as far as backpacking gear goes.
You might not be aware this is a backpacking bag at all though
Tents: I've see high mileage hikers all over the PNW and on the PCT and using $100. to $200. tents, but never seen a $800. tent. What tent did you drop that much on?
Good read on external packs: https://www.carryology.

I looked at some of the used prices and they're laughable. Example [rei.com]
Just another reason to dislike REI now if you needed one.
