I am now researching BMO Harris and their $500 cash bonus when you have a total of at least $7,500 in qualifying direct deposits within the first 90 days.

No it doesn't
"You'll earn up to 2.00% APY and pay no account fees. Sign up and you'll get a $25 bonus and up to $300 when you set up direct deposit."
No, I'm not asking for referrals, but just sharing that it should stack with referral bonus.
Alas, I was unable to open an account with them. Hopefully no one else has run into this issue, since it's a great deal.
Say I JOIN. I make a ACH for $5000 employer deposit.
So now I get my $300 bonus.
So now i get my 2% APY on my account.
But wait.... what if i do not make ANY MORE ACH/DIRECT DEPOSITS, will by 2% APY remain for ever? Or must i make MONTHLY ACH/DPs?

So far I'm not a huge fan of their web UI compared to other banking I have used but getting 2% on a checking account that will be used in bill pay will be nice for a lil extra $ (I have been using ING, now Cap1360 checking/billpay forever and really like their UI...but they only pay .1% on my checking balance :p )

You don't need to continue adding more deposits if you don't want. You'll get the APY for whatever balance you have in there. But like all banks, the APY may fluctuate over time.

SoFi seems to be 20 years behind! The bill pay pages are terrible. (I use Cap1 360 for my checking bill pay) With the interest on the checking account I had thought I would be switching totally over to SoFi but after checking out their system...will NOT! There is no way to set up payees that are used monthly. You have to enter them in every time along with account numbers. Crazy that it seems so old and clunky. Every other online banking bill pay I have ever used is super intuitive and feature rich (I've used Cap1, Wells Fargo, Citi, etc) I had high hopes based upon the bonus and interest on a checking account but I will be sticking with my Capitol One 360 account that has all the features to make it quick and easy to pay my bills (keeps a list of all my payees that I can just enter in amounts/date and hit pay!)
Anyone else with similar thoughts?
