I just switched to this case. This is somewhat accurate yes you need to take it out to get the power supply in but with good cable management there's room to put it back in

I really wanted this case, but after watching some YT videos I realized that the hard drive caddy inside is basically a throwaway. You need that space for cables coming from the Power Supply.

True for some larger power supplies - I have a relatively small EVGA P6 1000W and the cables fit just fine with the HDD caddy in the default position. Also have 3 fans in the side facing area.

How much space is there between the HD caddy and your power supply? I have the evga P3 1200W and I think it is around 1.5 - 2 inches longer than your power supply. Wonder if mine would fit or I need to remove the caddy...

You would likely need to move the caddy toward the front of the case for more clearance - I have about 2 inches of room for the cables as-is. However, doing that will block the bottom side fan position and you won't be able to use the L shaped shroud.

Thanks you guys. That's encouraging. I'll be using a Corsair RM850i power supply, so maybe it's possible to run all the cables and still install the hd caddy in its default position.

The case is heavy. The package is about 40 lbs. With the huge box, somehow the UPS driver was not able to handle it properly. The box was crushed and the side panel had a big scratch. Had to go through the replacement process. That was my experience. If only UPS could do a better job to deliver the case.

$20 mail in rebate. but even at $120 this case is a steal. fans alone are worth this. This is a very large. case

Oh wow I was going to start a build in it that includes a 4TB HDD and a 1600 watt EVGA p+ psu (overkill but seemed like a good deal for future proofing). Is it possible to install the HDD sideways on the 2.5 inch slots by any chance? I assume not but not sure what to do here now..

5000D Airflow is much better. Glass front case tends to restrict airflow.

I'm currently using a 4000D and want to upgrade, but its never on sale. Frown

I still use a 5.25" optical drive and 3.5" multi-card reader. I hate that newer cases lack these bays these days. Yes, I know I can use a USB optical drive and a USB card reader, but I don't want to. I like my computer to be all-in-one so I'm stuck using my decade-old case I guess.

Not going to get a glass front with that. The new fractal pop series has one hidden at the bottom, check them out
