Better deal than their ES110. the kdp75 does have the newer sk-ex samples, but, mm.. it's OK, not going to make you weep or nothing.

Not quite as good electronically as the pxs3000 $649 deal also going on right now. The 3000 has way better sound samples (rom).

Action is quite similar to the 3000, they're both light touch actions.

The Korg alternative lp380 is $800 w/ a much heavier action, (comes down to preference). Speaker quality, the Korg is still very much ahead. Just keep in mind, if you guys plug in your own speakers and subs, it's a different comparison.

Between the korg and kawai ones, would you say korg is more "real" action feel? Korg deal doesnt include bench probably not huge thing.

Looking at the Korg, I can't believe they charge an extra $600 for the LP380u (2022) version that appears to be very similar to the old version with the addition of the USB MIDI connector. It's $750 vs $1350. Otherwise virtually the same piano.

If you're a beginner, you can just use a chair and stack some books together for height adjustment, if you get serious, you'll want to get a real bench, unfortunately these cost ~$500-1000 so, when you get serious. laugh out loud

The concept of "real feeling" is a marketing ploy, these are all simplified action mechanisms with thousands of parts less than an acoustic piano, it's not going to feel like an acoustic piano. The important part is they Works Well, and have significantly better precision and stability compared to acoustic piano actions <more parts, more wood = instability, imprecision>

No, most of those are gone, all of the new lp380s are the U version, including the $800 red one on sale right now if that's what you're refering to.

Keep in mind, the OLD midi version, midi has optical galvanic isolation, so in some use cases it's actually better than USB.

on USB you can also buy a filter which sort of does the same thing, but it's inductor based not optical.

Where did you see lp380 on sale for $800? Is there a link?
